First off I would like to say I quite like this mod, it's original and presents a very real challenge to an otherwise mundane existence.
The first thing that came to mind testing this was Chronicles of Riddick, Crematoria to be precise. I was wondering if it would be feasible to emulate similar environmental effects? lava on the surface is already implemented, but maybe have it cool to stone during the night and revert to lava again during the day? This would allow for surface travel at night and be particularly useful for reclaiming areas of land to build obsidian fortresses and the like. I'm not a modder myself so I have no idea how difficult or cpu intensive implementing this would be, just thought I would throw my ideas out there.
Also I'm assuming this is incompatible with Forge? I haven't tried it myself as every set-up I have is fine tuned and delicately balanced to help maintain compatibility, I currently have 42 mods on my main installation including: BC, IC2, RP, BTW, various mods linking the four and optifine to boot. I only tried yours by itself on a clean jar, anyway enough of my rambling. Good luck and happy modding!

You may want to update the OP with this.

I like the idea, there may be a way to replace all the surface dirt/grass blocks with a new type of block that updates when in the sun, converts from dirt textures to lava textures, but any mass changes like that would cause huge lag.
The only file not compatible with mod loader is the Sun changing size thats the afv.class and it can be left out, i would think any mod would work with mine along as there no item id conflicts.

Yeah I figured it would cause significant lag, and I was just talking about the 'i.class is now afv.class' info, or deleting it altogether and replacing it with install order.
What I mean is replace this
I tried this mod a while ago! great Very.. interesting. I backed up My world on my memory stick, and when i got bored went to get my save back... Can't find memory stick! :biggrin.gif: I built a vault like in fallout too! :biggrin.gif:
I have a problem, When i installed Solar Apocalypse with ID resolver, when i tried to start a new game, the game crashed and the crash log said that [yy.class] was Air in minecraft so it crashed, because it couldn't load air into the game...
EDIT: Basically im looking for a replacement yy.class or a download to a standard 1.0.0 jar file, i can handle the rest.
EDIT EDIT: i found out that its illegal to do this, sorry if i wasted anyone's time?
I think the mod sees the new fire as a plant and tries to replace it with fire. so it never finishes updating.
Heres the beta2 version.
Bugs
If theres no problems this is the next version, then ill start on the server one again.
its afv.class now not i.class
Or install my mod then optifine.

With this
Found Fix:
Instead of putting class in jar, put the zip file in mods folder and it works
or remove afv.class from my mod.
I'm going to go with no, not for public distribution anyway.
Look about 10 posts before yours... or at the title...
