can u show how to make the tool heads and the sticks and stuff on the tool station and is it made with shards? mdiyo please can u show the pictures of all crafting recepies on the tool part station or tool station whatever u call them or it is not made yet?
I've been browsing through some of my old things, looking for good ideas I've left by the wayside. Cactus fences weren't so good, and alternate chest types are meh, but this... I still dream steam dreams.
arnuno: TConstruct is an alpha build of the mod. There's already enough information on the content post to get an idea what to do.
Abombie: InfiTools is gone, sorry. Why do people keep popping up and asking for it?
danky: I suppose TConstruct counts as InfiTools. It's the same idea done differently.

WHY DO WE KINDA WANT INFI TOOLS? well we want it to hold us over until TConstruct is done, i just like TCconstruct better
Today's plan is to create the smeltery. It's going to be a little different from other mods, as it isn't just a higher tier furnace. It's going to melt metals down so you can shape them in patterns. The best part is that it runs on lava.
I've a mockup that will be good as a reference. Replace furnace with output, pattern chest with bellows, glass with lava tank.
arnuno: There are no ores. I got rid of them all, as a lot of them were useless. Shards are half-materials for tools, and you can use them as such. Some of them need better names.
You don't use the crafting table, you use the tool station and part crafter. The part crafter needs patterns; it should be obvious after that.
Dragoner95 1. Cobalt and ardite will be ores. I haven't finished that part yet.
2. Yes, yes it would. I can't reconcile the ores of other mods in the stratified stone, and some of them don't generate, so I've been lazy about updating it.
3. Most of them will return as base materials or modifiers. Redstone is a modifier, moss will be as well.
Pattern Chest? Oh my gosh yes. Just yes. THANK YOU. Now having an entire chest dedicated to those wooden sheets is actually integrated with the mod instead of running back and forth between the chest and the tables.
FireKnight agrees! <Notch: So do I!

War does not determine who is right. Only who is left.
FireKnight_9253: The tools for creative menu haven't been finished yet. That includes not enough items, and you're not supposed to have an invisible pickaxe anyway. The "seed" is a superflat map with some of my generation happening.
Naxza: A video tutorial wouldn't go amiss, but it would be incomplete. I'm working on the processing of materials right now. The current project is trying to get from here to molten metal:

RailCraft has steam. You should probably check out the RailCraft API to make sure they'll be compatible with Forge's LiquidDictionary and whatnot, and also so that there's no balance conflict.
The grand to-do list for TConstruct says I have a few days left to go:
- Finish Smeltery Postponed
- Add Bows and ice axes, bows can't be animated easily
- Add proper blocks for ice axes, frying pans, and battlesigns
- Add moss, lava, blaze, necrotic, and enchantment modifiers
- Create pattern shaper
- Polish up the mod with block models and textures
- Bugtest, bugtest, bugtest!
Qwertygiy: Railcraft has steam for pneumatic tubes. It's also one of my favorite mods, so I balance around it. Buildcraft isn't to my liking for anything I do. The pipes float, they don't fit in with Minecraft's aesthetic, they're slow, and I just don't like them.
Naxza: A few days will be fine. I'm not planning on doing much with the Smeltery as of yet, though the modifiers I'm adding will need to be in there...
yoyotr105: Update Crops. The textures were fixed a few days ago.

I know it is done and gone, but I'm really going to miss the old infitools and the way the ores worked with the crusher and grinder and then to even better tools. Anyone else?
Tconstruct makes no sense to me so I'm exited for the vid tutorial.
Nice armor stands. Do they work with any armor even from another mod?
What happened to the 2 by 2 trees? I liked those. They were fun to chop.
Thanks, I'm too lazy to look at my username but I know it says griffin### or something with three numbers.
P.S. does the layered stone still spawn?
P.P.S. I get the feeling that this message is a little too long.

This wasn't a triumph.
I'm making a note here. Epic fail.- GLaDOS changes her mind
Look, if anyone wants to update InfiTools they can find the code here. It's a mess of a mod inside and a total waste of item IDs, but it was my first foray into java code so take it as you will.
griffin111: One of the things about TConstruct is that a lot of information is inside the mod. It's not in a wiki, it's in game. I've not put enough information about it, apparently, and things still aren't done.
TConstruct will have you working your way up to better tools, I promise. I'm going to bring the crusher and grinder back in a more interesting way, and there should be plenty of tools to go around.
The armor stands work with other mods. I have a whole set of Metallurgy armor stands laying around. The 2x2 trees dissapeared because they were causing crashes, I liked them too.
I just have one question, I'm using Orizon for Minecraft 1.2.5, and I was wondering do the ore chunks you get from the protocrusher do anything?

Herobrine is a cultural item, just like any mythological creature. I am a firm believer of the Herobrine mythologies, and I listen to anyone's interpretations of his meanings. Yes he isn't real, Yes the mythology IS real, and yes many people believe his stories.
Am I supposed to be able to charge tools? I was looking in NEI, testing out the mod and whatnot, and there was a tool tip for eu. So I charged them. Is this intentional? Using the tool takes eu away and they can be recharged with a lappack, it is kind of weird. I can use them without charging them and they decrease in durability, but I can also charge them and then they run on eu. I'm using the direwolf20 mod pack and then added TConstruct, Flora and Soma crops, and InfiBlocks aesthetics.
Dragoner95: Good catch, it's been fixed.
nachtmahr66 Special crafting method is a bit confusing, I'm sure. I'll make it clearer soon.
danky: That sounds like an item ID conflict. Check your config files and make sure everything is in order. Nice signature btw.

IF YOU TRY USEING A PICKAXE FROM TCONSTRUCT AND YOU GET THE INVISABLE ONE FROM NOT ENOUGH ITEMS IT WILL CRASH YOUR GAME!

If it was retired,is there a way to use it on 1.4.7?

I registered just to ask this:
Being T-Construct not even in beta. Why did you retire infitools? Why didn't you just made it compatible with 1.4.6 and 1.4.7?
Just want to know im not complaining
