Optifine's Aaw.class and the base edits of InfiniCraft (the mod pack)'s aaw.class clash, and aaw.class is really necessary for optifine, to the point of it crashing minecraft when i load up. Defense-style gameplay, hmm? I tried the Invasion mod a while back, and found it just wasn't what I was looking for. THOSE AIs WERE JUST TOO DARN GOOD! I made a huge base entirely of obsidian, and the only thing that kept them from getting me within the first 5 minutes was that the interior walls were 3x3 with lava in the center. It took them about 35 minutes to nearly utterly decimate my base and then I just gave up on it.
Pelirow: Dungeon Defenders isn't quite what I'm looking for, at least from the gameplay videos. The vanilla box is nice and all, but I refuse to acknowledge a game that pretends to be many things while not actually being any of them. Something's gotta change.
Levi_Kornelsen: Both, definitely. I won't be creating content just for the sake of creating content either. There is nothing in the game I won't consider breaking as well. Your birch trees are about to get skinnier.

Qwertygiy: The invasion mod is a step in the right direction. The problem with that is actually that the player doesn't have enough options to deal with mobs. Swing a sword (lame) and shoot a bow (overpowered) and build some walls, maybe place lava. That should also serve as a nice lesson: nothing is indestructible.

Here's my opinion on making a huge awesome project like that. There are three major, major things that must be possible with such a mod for it to be a whole lot of fun for me..
1) It must have an easy-to-read, easy-to-check guide for all the major points. TerraFirmaCraft is amazing, but it's in such a state of development (including the wiki) that it's impossible to figure out and memorize how to do most things in less than a week and by that time half of it will have changed. This is one of the few things I like about Better than Wolves over TFC.
2)It must be either entirely realistic or have a theme of unreality. IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft go for a Scientific theme. TerraFirmaCraft and Millenaire go for a Realistic theme. Better than Wolves and ThaumCraft go for an Evil Alchemist theme. But putting them all together it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'd prefer a sort of Scientific Reality theme, sort of like what Notch wants for 0x10C. Yeah, let us have our wonderful advanced machinery and only able to carry a couple things at a time unless we have a backpack of some sort. But don't make us have to kill exploding green monsters with swords made purely of carbon fiber. Just give us good ol' fashioned lions, tigers, and bears or go nuts and have us live in a 15th-century land with dragons and dwarves (with 10 very different variatons of each to run into, of course). Just one thing, though. I don't want to have to defend a base from human mob raiders. Neither, though, do I want to burn down any villages. If I did attack any settlements though, then I'd expect my base to be demolished rather harshly.
3) It must be compatible with, or have a patch for, Optifine. My computer is crap, so without Optifine I get about 2 FPS with any major mods.

More info is needed. A NullPointerException is pretty much the most generic error you can get. It just means it was looking for something and didn't get it.

Pelirow: Dungeon Defenders isn't quite what I'm looking for, at least from the gameplay videos. The vanilla box is nice and all, but I refuse to acknowledge a game that pretends to be many things while not actually being any of them. Something's gotta change.
Levi_Kornelsen: Both, definitely. I won't be creating content just for the sake of creating content either. There is nothing in the game I won't consider breaking as well. Your birch trees are about to get skinnier.
I plan on making the world quite a bit higher and shrinking the size of blocks, first of all. After that I'll need punji traps, saw blades, log rolling devices, things like that.
Keybounce: Intelligent AI? Mobs working together against you? Hoyesh!
Qwertygiy: The invasion mod is a step in the right direction. The problem with that is actually that the player doesn't have enough options to deal with mobs. Swing a sword (lame) and shoot a bow (overpowered) and build some walls, maybe place lava. That should also serve as a nice lesson: nothing is indestructible.
Mmm, after hearing all your comments above, I enjoy the mindset you have and I'll be looking forward to when/if you share some of your ideas! I'm particularly curious about what mobs you're thinking of creating and how much you'll try to enhance the AI and fighting versatility of the vanilla mobs, if at all. Also quite curious to see how much of vanilla you'll rip to pieces making mDiyoCraft.

Except use brackets instead of parenthesis.
Second, that's not a crash report and it doesn't indicate the problem. If I had to guess though, take out ModloaderMP and try it again.
If that doesn't help, I'm afraid you'll need to find how to properly post crash reports (you can google it to find out) and try to describe what exactly is happening to cause problems. Black screen?
any particular reason why the infiblocks, orizon, and florasoma parts of this mod refuse to load? I got modloader, modloadermp, forge 108 (installed in that order), and optifine HD AA A7. I also got the 4096 id fix but that too doesn't seem to load. One more thing is this compatible with tekkit mods like IC2, BC and redpower2?

I have started the process for unlimiting world height. Such a change means a change to the save format, terrain generator, and all of the supporting code. I've already changed 10 files and I'm just getting started! This could take awhile...
Qwertygiy: I have studied both literary criticism and game design to know how to weave an entire world into the game. Suffice it to say that Minecraft has some glaring holes in the character department that I intend to fix. Also, I will have things done with in-game documentation, none of this nonsense about memorizing crafting recipes and trying to figure out how the hell potions work.
I was considering adding some of the speed enhancing features of OptiFine anyhow. That thing's been bloated with things that slow it down as of late.
Balthasarx It had FML on servers before I left, now it has it on both sides.
futuramafan: You're doing something wrong, the likely cause being that almost no mods need modloader mp anymore. Also, I despise tekkit. My mods work with each of those separately, but I refuse to work with people who steal mods and edit them for whatever purpose.

Curse PremiumDefense-style gameplay, hmm? I tried the Invasion mod a while back, and found it just wasn't what I was looking for. THOSE AIs WERE JUST TOO DARN GOOD! I made a huge base entirely of obsidian, and the only thing that kept them from getting me within the first 5 minutes was that the interior walls were 3x3 with lava in the center. It took them about 35 minutes to nearly utterly decimate my base and then I just gave up on it.

I plan on making the world quite a bit higher and shrinking the size of blocks, first of all. After that I'll need punji traps, saw blades, log rolling devices, things like that.

Qwertygiy: The invasion mod is a step in the right direction. The problem with that is actually that the player doesn't have enough options to deal with mobs. Swing a sword (lame) and shoot a bow (overpowered) and build some walls, maybe place lava. That should also serve as a nice lesson: nothing is indestructible.

Curse PremiumBasically, you're going for a sort of BTW²?
Here's my opinion on making a huge awesome project like that. There are three major, major things that must be possible with such a mod for it to be a whole lot of fun for me..
1) It must have an easy-to-read, easy-to-check guide for all the major points. TerraFirmaCraft is amazing, but it's in such a state of development (including the wiki) that it's impossible to figure out and memorize how to do most things in less than a week and by that time half of it will have changed. This is one of the few things I like about Better than Wolves over TFC.
2)It must be either entirely realistic or have a theme of unreality. IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft go for a Scientific theme. TerraFirmaCraft and Millenaire go for a Realistic theme. Better than Wolves and ThaumCraft go for an Evil Alchemist theme. But putting them all together it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'd prefer a sort of Scientific Reality theme, sort of like what Notch wants for 0x10C. Yeah, let us have our wonderful advanced machinery and only able to carry a couple things at a time unless we have a backpack of some sort. But don't make us have to kill exploding green monsters with swords made purely of carbon fiber. Just give us good ol' fashioned lions, tigers, and bears or go nuts and have us live in a 15th-century land with dragons and dwarves (with 10 very different variatons of each to run into, of course). Just one thing, though. I don't want to have to defend a base from human mob raiders. Neither, though, do I want to burn down any villages. If I did attack any settlements though, then I'd expect my base to be demolished rather harshly.
3) It must be compatible with, or have a patch for, Optifine. My computer is crap, so without Optifine I get about 2 FPS with any major mods.

Mmm, after hearing all your comments above, I enjoy the mindset you have and I'll be looking forward to when/if you share some of your ideas! I'm particularly curious about what mobs you're thinking of creating and how much you'll try to enhance the AI and fighting versatility of the vanilla mobs, if at all. Also quite curious to see how much of vanilla you'll rip to pieces making mDiyoCraft.

Except use brackets instead of parenthesis.
Second, that's not a crash report and it doesn't indicate the problem. If I had to guess though, take out ModloaderMP and try it again.
If that doesn't help, I'm afraid you'll need to find how to properly post crash reports (you can google it to find out) and try to describe what exactly is happening to cause problems. Black screen?
This I utterly agree with =p.
Also did you know that forge now has its own modloader built in called FML (going by the initials it must have been a pain to develop)

Curse PremiumQwertygiy: I have studied both literary criticism and game design to know how to weave an entire world into the game. Suffice it to say that Minecraft has some glaring holes in the character department that I intend to fix. Also, I will have things done with in-game documentation, none of this nonsense about memorizing crafting recipes and trying to figure out how the hell potions work.
I was considering adding some of the speed enhancing features of OptiFine anyhow. That thing's been bloated with things that slow it down as of late.
Balthasarx It had FML on servers before I left, now it has it on both sides.
futuramafan: You're doing something wrong, the likely cause being that almost no mods need modloader mp anymore. Also, I despise tekkit. My mods work with each of those separately, but I refuse to work with people who steal mods and edit them for whatever purpose.
