Raust, good news, after riding my dog (Orion) for a while, I sat him on his bowl and his hunger went from 59 to 97! Thank you very much! This mod is worth a ton of
Last few questions:
Will my dogs ea automatically? Or do I have to re-sit them?
I read the human release section, but I didn't fully understand: If I release, then retrain my dogs, can I reassign skill points?

And can I make a suggestion for a new skill?
They eat automatically. Every time they are standing/sitting on a food bowl, they record its location, and path towards it when they're hungry.
If you release your dog by right clicking once, and then re-tame it with bones, it will lose all of its skill levels, but it will keep the points, so yes, you can re-allocate your dog's points by releasing and re-taming it.
And as for a new skill, go for it, but I have to say that I'm pretty much running out of space in the GUI to add more. I'll consider it though
Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking the skill could work like Creeper Sweeper, but for Diamonds. Every time you go in caves, your dog could sort of motion towards the nearest path to diamonds. It could be called Gold Digger!

Yeah, that's a TAD overpowered imho. If you want a doggy that can get you diamonds, try puppyeyes
If I am understanding the post correctly, a dog heals over time if incapacitated. I believe the dog took a great deal of falling damage at one point, and is still at the bottom of a pit which I cannot get down. Is there a way to get the dog to teleport to me?

It will be a skill where the dog randomly finds items in the ground, these items can range from sticks and wood tools up to gold and iron bars.
The chance of the dog finding more rare items such as iron tools and armor increases as the level of the skill increases, at level 5 the dog starts finding stone tools instead of wood and the odds of finding damaged items are decreased.
If the dog has the pack puppy skill then the item goes into its inventory, if not then the item is just dropped on the ground as the dog barks and faces where it dropped the items.
I dunno, there's a mod which adds remote control cars, helicopters, boats and planes which can be driven at will by the player, and the camera follows them. Doing this with a wolf surely isn't that big a leap from that.
Valid point about the base classes though, I don't know if it would edit any or not.
I love the idea of the skill though, if it were under consideration to be added I'd support it.
It WOULD be possible to remotely control dogs, but the camera wouldn't be able to follow them without editing base classes unless I joined forge and used the new hooks it adds for camera changing.
Should I start with the current mod, or should I start when a future version comes out?
By the way, I hope you don't mind me using the banner for my signature
For some reason, my dog won't accept training treats (he's still level 1).
I right-click him with a treat, and he just sit-toggles. He tilts his head when he sees it, though.
There were some other problems, but this is the only one that's really bugging me.
Sure thing!
glad you like it!

No wood required!
I think so, all except the friendly creeper
Last I heard, all of them except the friendly creeper extend entitycreeper.
which version are you using?

This skill can be called treasure hunter.

Warning: I am not to good with programming, but when it comes down to testing in-game, I can do that
I always appreciate people testing the latest versions, that helps me learn about bugs I wasn't aware of
