I haven't seen that. I've been testing my mods (up to two freaking dozen now) in a world with some desert right outside my door, and it doesn't snow in there.
Hello, when I wanna go in the Nether, "saving chunk" screen as appeared
I've some mods installing :
Modloader and SAPI to make works your mod
WildGrass but I already used i) in the ancient versions with no problem at all, I think it's not that which makes bugs
MAtmos but seen that it adds only sounds, I do not see why that would have a relationship
and TMI / SPC
Then I wanted to know if it was because of your mod if it did not work any more
Thanks
(reverso translates very badly then sorry for the faults)
Probably mentioned before, but during the summer (Mostly the day) I can't go against the water current. Not that much of a trouble (Equip a set of Neptune armor from the Aether mod for when I need to work on water), just reporting.
It would probably look ugly on top of trees yeh, so keep the thin snow for that.
But for everything else I don't see how it would. It would be more like a real winter where *everything* is covered in snow; where as the way it is at the moment, you can still see the side of blocks which looks kinda odd (referring to the sides of hills here, cliffs and anything that's more than 2 blocks above ground level will still show the sides)
Would also add that fun element of having to dig your way out of the house each morning ^^ (tho you might have to break your door or smash a window to get out lol)
Dunno bout the leaves falling off tho...while that would look good for any trees with branches, the ones that don't have branches will be reduced to a just a pillar of wood, which would look very odd, especially considering that branchless trees are the most common type. Also I'm not sure how easy it would be to code in the regrowing of the leaves when spring hits.
Think it would be better to just have the colour change again.
First paragraph: Use Better Grass, it also does snow, and fixes that issue with hillsides - quite nice. :3 I do think it could be cool to have full snow blocks (if done tactfully), but aesthetically the Better Grass mod fixes things up.
Second paragraph: Very good point with the column trees, but ignoring that, the leaves needing to grow back is far more convincing as an argument against. Perhaps turn the leaves brown during winter, for simplicity's sake, and for something different (and of course provide the option to keep pines green, like was done for Autumn, please :3).

I thought some other mod was causing this, and then it just "went away", which must have been when it stopped being Summer. Yes, that was quite annoying - got me killed in the Aether several times due to suddenly not being able to swim properly (up waterfalls :tongue.gif:).
If that's intentional, that's fine, but provide a configuration option. I've toggled off just about every non-aesthetic feature of this mod off - no constant snow, no desert hurting, etc..
Also, as I mentioned on IRC to you, Mr. Nandonalt, I would like to see precipitation chances per season be tweakable - that would provide a great deal of customizability in a (relatively) simple change.
I agree with you. With seasons mod added, it would make more sense to have "tundra" biomes where there is only snow in fall and winter while in spring it melts and in summer you see barren land.
The point of notch adding tundra and snowy biomes was to have is like the north and south poles, if you sacrificed that it would be removing an essential feature in the game, as when the new mob in 1.8 comes out, it will most likely only spawn on snowy grass, eliminating that mob. pointless.

Yeah, the only problem is that there will be snowy biomes right nearby a desert biome. Doesn't seem like north and south poles to me at all. Sure its a cool concept, but if it can't be done right I'd rather have seasons making snow etc.
Looks amazing!! I'm glad someone is doing this. =D
Quick suggestions/ideas (apologies if any were mentioned before):
- Player moves slower during the winter of cold biomes, unless near fire or a light source
- Icebergs and maybe full snow blocks form during the winter of cold biomes
- More yellows and golds on tree leaves in the fall, if possible
- Perhaps more weather-pertinent, but a season or perhaps biome+season combo that is windy? (light pushes in random directions to the player, mobs, and loose items at random times)
- Thunderstorms with no rain during the summer, esp. in deserts (heat lightening)
- Higher chance of rain in spring
- The sea's global water surface level rises and falls according to season (much lower in winter)
- Chickens lay eggs more often in a certain season (spring?)
- Leaf piles gather near trees during fall (maybe like leaf-textured snow layer blocks)
- Outdoor fires go out randomly in winter
- Pumpkins rarely spawn near trees or in certain biomes during fall
Hey, awesome mod! Minecraft doesn't work though, it just crashes every time I launch it. here's the error log. I want this mod really bad :dry.gif:. ---------------

This mod is incredible! Anything that adds this much atmosphere should be a part of the vanilla game!
I do have a few requests to improve it, or to enhance it -
1) Consider changing the color spectrum of the Autumn trees to a more golden/orange mix, keeping the grass a more golden/green mix. Please keep the flowers in Autumn and spawn more Pumpkins.
2) While I love the snow pack and the flurries everywhere in Winter, it is a bit disconcerting to see green grass during the Winter after the near dead color of the foliage in Autumn. Consider making the Autumn colors you have currently the seasonal colors for winter. Please consider the 'dead' bushes or just whips of grass for the flowers as in the current Autumn for Winter, and keep the flowers for Autumn. When Spring arrives, then the green is VERY appropriate sneaking through the melting snow.
3) If possible, keep evergreens just that - green during Autumn and Winter. The birch and any other trees (non-pine/spruce) should be the ones that change from green to golden/orange to dead brown.
4) Water is very difficult to move against in Summer/Spring. I have a water elevator that works incredibly well during the Autumn/Winter, I can just step in it, rise two stories before the breath bubbles run out. Will all Water source blocks be this difficult to move against because of the nature of the mod, or is this something that can be fixed?
Overall - This is an amazing mod, and I am very happy to be playing it in MC. I look forward to seeing what happens when you fix the daylight/night-time scheduler for variable sunlight with seasons.

That error, I'm if not mistaken is because the file you extracted it corrupted. Redownload and maybe use a different archive extractor 7-zip, winrar, etc..

Can you add support for 32x textures for the season watch, and temp guage? I changed them to 32 bit, and my minecraft kept crashing. But I put them back to 16x and minecraft loaded as normal.
I have started getting grass blocks to spread on dirt underwater ever since updating to the most recent version of this mod, any chance you can look in to this?
I haven't seen that. I've been testing my mods (up to two freaking dozen now) in a world with some desert right outside my door, and it doesn't snow in there.
Do you have any error logs?
