In all seriousness though, I've been considering installing this mod after seeing the yogcast, but I've heard rumors of there being stuff like this, and I'm kind of nervous. I don't think people should just discredit the issue.
I at least don't feel comfortable downloading possibly malicious content....
Umm...why won't Valkeries spawn! So unfair. I get good gear and now they won't let me get medals cause they too big noobs to come out!

Maybe someone already asked this, but, I see no logical reason why this won't run on OS X and I can't seem to get it to work. The only thing I can imagine I am missing is not re-archiving my .jar after installing the mods.....I will try doing that and see what happens, beyond that I am sure I haven't missed anything.
This might be a good point if that other guy hadn't also detected the same virus..
I mean exactly, it seems unlikely that two programs would detect false positives?
It seems like people are just blindly discrediting this without at least looking into it. Im not saying there is an issue, but it seems like it should be further looked into. I myself have a lot of effort put into my minecraft worlds, and would be pretty upset if something damaged them, whether it be malicious or not.
I'm having a small problem, when installing the mod, and having to install the sounds into a Resources file, I don't have that file...I don't know why, and I don't know how, but I don't have it, What should I do?

MOST antivirus applications detect the same false positives, since most antivirus programs run on almost identical virus databases. Especially crappy ones like most of these people are using.
Read my post. I HAVE looked into it. Go decompile it yourself and see that there's no malicious code in the file.
Actually using Kapersky.
lol. How do you like hundreds of false positives?
I've used it for years and never had a false positive though?
True Dat. NORTON FTW!
Yes.. I have deleted the META-INF folder.
How would you know? If you use it and trust it, every time it reports a false positive, you think it's telling the truth.
Norton itself is malware. Go download Avast!, AVG, or Microsoft Security Essentials.

ITS NOT A VIRUS. I HAVE IT AND IT WORKS FINE!
This might be a good point if that other guy hadn't also detected the same virus..
Did you also installed the other mods required? AudioMod? Modloader? ShockAhPI?
It only references vanilla Minecraft classes and Aether classes.
There is absolutely no code that connects to the internet or tries to control anything in your computer other than OpenGL.
In other words, it's a false positive. Decompile it yourself and see if you don't believe me.

Maybe they removed it? I downloaded 1.0 not the new update.
agreed. any of those listed are much better choices.

So update to 1.01 and it doesn't matter.
