Not sure about 1.6.x, but on my 1.5.2 install, the waypoints are in <minecraft folder>/mods/rei_minimap/*.points files.
Thank you, it's the same in 1.6.2. I have my 25 waypoints back ^///^
The .points files can be edited in notepad, so I was able to copy/paste the new waypoints I made in with the old ones.
I installed the minimap some hours ago. It was working fine, but after I came back to play with some friends on our server after a while it just randomly disappeared. I checked the folders and all the files are in place. I took them out and put them back in but the minimap won't show up. What should I do now?
Ok, I know this will probably be ignored, but I was wondering if it would be possible for you to make a special version of this mod for my friends and I to enjoy. It's not too much of a variation from this mod, just wondering if the circular outline of this image could be made into the round map for the map. It's from a game that recently closed down called FusionFall, and I wanted to know if there was any chance you could make this happen so my friends and I can feel some nostalgia when playing Minecraft. Thank you, even if you can't help.
Love this mod, and it's now been added to my 'must have' ones... Treecapitator and Rei's minimap.
One suggestion; any chance of an option to show the current biome under the minimap? I'm colorblind and it's sometimes hard to tell which I'm in. I know I can turn on the stats with F3 but that clutters the screen really badly.
Hello, I'm new here and I was wondering if it was possible to use commands (or whatever) to make public waypoints. For example, let's say I'm making an indoor war map where you capture certain points. I would like these points to be marked in some way for all players to see. If it's indoor, in this example, players can't rely on beacon light to guide them.
If there were a command-based waypoint system, waypoints could be set at the start of the round that all players can see. Maybe something like: /waypoint _ _ _. I know this can be done manually, but it'd be a lot easier if it was not a manual process. If this is not implemented in this mod, can someone direct me to one that can?
Would it be possible to implement a system where you can have a specific mob show up as a separate marker with its own colour and everything? o: It would come in handy.

I'm sure that'd be possible by going into the textures, and changing all the mobs you don't want to a blank picture. Then, you could change the icon of the mob you'd want to a certain thing.
This tutorial should help anyone with questions on how to download and/or install reis minimap. There's also an explanation as to why the map doesn't always show up after installation:
Hey there, just wanted you to be aware that I just got this crash:

Not sure if this is a problem with the minimap, or the latest forge build (.848). When I rolled back to forge build .845 I did not get the crash.
Only use latest Forge version if you absolutely have to.
