Well, chances are... that's whats F'n me up because I "installed" ML, then dumped this map mod in to the mods folder and nothing seems to work. I mean I can still play MC etc but nothing shows up. Any way, I'd rather use ML if possible since from as I understand it all you ever need to do is dump a mod in to the mods folder to get it to work. I don't like editing files any more than I have to so if I if ML works the way I think it's supposed to then I'd rather run mods with it installed.
Outside of this map mod everything else I want to use is supposed to support ML, from recent replies here one ould gather that this supports ML again as well.
That's what's F'n you up. You don't put mods into the mods folder unless you plan to use MCPatcher. If you don't want to manually touch any jar I'll give you more instruction:
1) Download the mod, find it, etc. Then, once you have it. Put it in your mods folder.
2) Bring up MCPatcher, Hit Mods (Or M), then hit Add...
3) Find your Minimap mod in your Mods folder, then double-click it.
4) It should now be in your MCPatcher list (Where HD Texture fix, HD Fonts, Randomobs, etc. Is.)
5) Check said mod, and hit Patch. If you did it right it should pop up right in your game.
Note: You can do this to ANY other mod out there and it will work exactly how it should, unless there are more than one folders, but that's a different story.
Edit: Rei, you can use these instructions on the front page if you wish, I would actually enjoy seeing them there, less people would ask how to install this.

I'll try this and get back to you but for what it's worth... what in the hell good is Mod Loader if you can do mods with MCP ?
Mod Loader is a program that allows certain mods to work intertwined without making conflicts. MCPatcher edits your jar without you touching it and adds a few things that you want in there. And you have to install ModLoader like any other mod.
I did not see anyone suggesting it (but I did not read all the posts, only the 65 firsts) Can you add an option about Large Map Label's Opacity? It would be nice to make labels 50% visible so we can see things under it. (Maybe an option about a label that do not had any black background, only texts would be an idea too)
This mod is getting better every update. Keep up the good work!
It looks like the cardinal directions on the circular map are no longer matching up with the directions in Minecraft. Specifically, they are rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Any way to fix this?
@ReiFNSK would it be possible to Disable showing slime chunks in SMP the way you did cave mapping and entities radar some admins consider this as a cheat but don't minded the use of a mini map mod
sorry to keep bothering you with this , but is it possible to have the zoon out implemented on the large map view? I mean in a way that i could see at least 10 chunks. I would like to see the biomes and choose witch direction to go when exploring. I am not a coder, so i have no idea how dificult this would be, If is to dificult or if you just dont feel like doing it . please tell me . I love this mod . Just can't play without. Thanks for your work.

Sorry, please correct me if I'm just an idiot. The menu "M" Button conflicts with Millenaire. In Millenaire you press "M" to view quests. I can't find a way to change this, but if there is may you please tell me. I can't access the MiniMap Menu because of that.. Can someone help me?

Go to .minecraft\mods\rei_minimap\Keyconfig.txt
and edit the pertaining value.
Anyway Rei, is it possible to hide the amp hit "F3" is pressed, like the way you did with inventory? If you can, it would be appreciated.

Can you put a list of known incompatible mods on the thread? it would be helpful for some people (Including Me) who have delicate minecraft.jars. when i update, my update freezes. that's how **** my computer is.
We most definitely need a way to change the directions in the minimap easily and quickly - WE and notch disagree on their interpretations and it gets very annoying.
