Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
I've been working on the mod, removing all the changes to the source code so that it should be compatible with almost all mods.
And I've ran into a few issues that will take me a while to sort out, so don't expect an update soon.
For those that would like a SMP version, I'm going to wait until 1.3 is released.
I should have everything ported within a week after Forge is updated.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
Quick note: This is from my phone (android smartphone), don't expect great penmanship.
Now for the meat.
I recently moved into a new apartment for college and it's internet is screwed up somehow.
I have been doing a little work on the mod, but my phone's internet is not powerful enough to handle uploading it.
I have successfully removed all modifications to the source code, which should boost compatibility.
I probably will soon work on porting it to multiplayer, but I'm still stuck with 1.2.5 for now.
Also, I won't be able to update it for 1.3 until Forge is updated, which may take a while.
Hopefully I will have internet back before then.
TL;DR
Can't update it until Forge is updated, and my internet hates me.
That is all, goodnight.
Here comes a big dump. I have a 1.3.2 version using forge, it should work with lan, but be cautious and report any problems you have.
I will leave v1.3 download up until the I update the mod again.
i can't see portal in-game...im using latest forge #225
Some questions:
Is this a new portal?
Old portals will have to be restarted, so just break it by placing a block next to it.
If it is a new portal,
does it work correctly? As in can you teleport to the nether or sky?
is there really a portal there? If it doesn't work correctly, then it probably wasn't initialized correctly.
If it is a new portal, how did you initialize it?
Did you use flint and steel in the corner?
What shape was it?
EDIT: Also, what mods do you have installed?
There are more questions but these should cover most of the info I need.
I just downloaded forge #226 and tested creating all the portals and it appeared to work.

and when entering the world with portal I get same error
I believe I made a mistake with the description of the files.
SMP is for the server, and SSP is for the client.
I'll fix them on v1.6 so that it makes less problems.
(For some reason server's don't like my portal textures.)
To fix this, just download the SSP zip and replace the SMP zip with it.
If you are using minecraft 1.2.5, I'll check the old code and see if I can find the error.
If you are using the SMP zip, then that's the issue, it was made to be used on dedicated servers, and as such does not have the textures, and the issue is coming from that. Download the SSP zip and remove the SMP zip. The SSP zip is made for clients, and will connect to forge servers with this mod installed.
If you are using the SSP zip, then update your forge to the next recommended version. I'm using #226 and it's working.
If none of these helped, then post what mods you are using, what forge version you are using, and any other information you think will be helpful in recreating the bug. If I can recreate it, then I will be able to search for it's root cause.
I apologize if this didn't help, I'm not so good with conversations, as you probably have noticed.
My only complaint is that this screws with servers that don't have this mod installed. When in the Nether, the portal blocks don't render properly and entering the portal's a bit screwy. Purely aesthetic, but a bit ugly. Otherwise, great mod!

This is now updated so that the original portal will act like they should. However you will not be able to create them anymore.
Which should stop weird issues with old portals and servers.
Please change the dimension ID for the sky, it doesn't work with twilight forest..
You can now change the dimension ID in the config folder in your .minecraft directory. Just open the mod_Portals.cfg in notepad and change the dimension ID to a different value.
when i use flint on the stone to make sky portal it just catches on fire.
Can you post an image of your frame?
There are unusual issues when creating a portal, if you show how you're creating I can normally help.
Or you could try out various ways to create a portal. The best way is to create a frame floating in the air and start adding blocks around it to see what stops you from being able to create it.
Make it colorable please
I want a rainbow-portal to hell^^
That sounds fun, but I'm not that skilled... sorry.
Later on after I clear out most of the issues, I'll try to make the coloration user defined, but it may take a while.
Fun stuff: Update is out! It will cause your portals to be a bit weird, but it will stop the old portals from being horribly broken.
Also added in the ability to change your sky dimension id, and possibly other things, but I don't remember.
EDIT: The mod is now active on the tekkit forums! Possibly could get it into the Tekkit pack, which would be awesome. Link is here
I saw a video of this that also allowed access to a flat land and a dark skyland.
Where did that go? D:
That was from a year ago. The mod went into a coma for a while and I restarted it. But currently it is near impossible to create the different types of portal required for two more dimensions. The meta data cannot hold it easily. It's possible, but I'm going to wait until I can find an efficient way to do it.
I've made the portal frames and installed it correctly, but when I make an obsidian portal it crashes when I use the flint and steel saying:
