I lost the source code and did not have to time to recreate it.
I only recently had the time to return.
I do not know how long I'll be able to update this.
So I'll now post the source code for each update, and if anyone wishes to pick up if I stop, feel free to.
I only ask that if you do, you do not do it for profit. I do this for fun, and I like to create something that others will have fun with.
I have discovered that this is incompatible with Forge and Mystcraft.

I'll do some research about Minecraft Forge, and I'll see if I can either port it over without many problems, or find a way to make it compatible.
I'll also do some checking into Mystcraft and check to see if there are any incompatibilities, or if it just Forge.
A v1.1 should be up by the end of the week.
Side Note: If anyone has any suggestions for things to add, please say. Another dimension would be interesting, but 4 is the upper limit right now. Any other ideas will probably be included, as long as they aren't crazy.
Moved the mod to minecraft forge because it was more useful than risugami's.
Fixed a few issues using forge, haven't checked the compatibility with myst yet, but will soon.
Great mod! Saw some videos on it, and really want to try it out myself. I am trying to get either 1.0 or 1.1 version to work with no luck. All I get is a black screen. For the 1.0 version I tried modLoader, and for the 1.1 version I tried Forge. This is against Minecraft 1.2.5. If I remove the Forge.zip file from the mods folder minecraft will launch successfully. I started with a fresh 1.2.5 .jar file for all testing / installation. Windows 7 x64. Java 7 update 5 64 bit.

Since this mod is changing the existing portals, it has to modify the minecraft source.
And to do that you have to extract the files from the zip and put them into the jar.
I do not know if there is a way to not change the source, but I doubt it.
I'll update the original post and add in a more descriptive install tutorial.
