Hey thanks for taking the ropes mod up to where it is, it's hella useful for my adventurerering. I'd like to ask that if you do another update, please consider bringing the recipes out into the .cfg? I'd like to switch to using full arrows + string + special tip instead of crafting them. The reason is feathers are only common if you run a serious chicken farm and I don't like do that 'cause it's a waste of chickens.
But I collect a solid stack or two of string and arrows from every good cave-clearing expedition, so I always have plenty of those. So having the recipes in the .cfg would let me do that, plus tinker with the special-tip recipe to find something balanced for the way I play (harder to make).
If it's convenient, having the damage and effects for the special tips in the CFG would be nice too. Explosive arrors are seriously OP in my kind of game so I would like the option to tone them down. I'd probably add lots more rope to the Rope Arrow and cut the length down so i had to fire multiple to climb a high wall. (I just like having to work for things )

I'm having a problem where ropes cannot be placed against or attached to transparent blocks (including stairs and slabs), which is annoying because ropes themselves are transparent, meaning I can't just look up and place a rope down to where I am.
Hey uh, I know it's been literal years since the last reply, but the dev still seems to be active elsewhere so I'm gonna try my luck. I've been using this mod for years, but I just ran in to an issue that I had never really considered before - the maximum length of a rope that gets dropped from either a ceiling or wall. My friend and I like to dig 50-60 block deep holes into caves/mines, and a rope that gets dropped appears to only go 30 or so before stopping. Is it possible to make this length configurable in the mod's cfg file? Thanks.

Ok, i understand what the problem is. hookshot conflicts with the LevelUp! mod, Archery skill, that increases drawback speed.

Someone should take out the rope arrow only and update it, it's one of the best ladders I've seen!
Seriously, I was making a TDM factory map for flan's mod and having the rope as a way to access a catwalk from outside just looked too good.
i've just had problems with not being able to climb the rope with smart moves enabled, anyway to fix that

Thank you so much. I've had that problem for years and just ended up disabling the crafting of rope arrows on my server due to it.
