Truth be told...the only one of THOSE mods that's currently installed is NEI...lol...Still, no Fossil mod config file.
odd... check some of the other files, maybe it could be in the mod folder? I've sometimes found some configuration files there which I found confusiing.
So, scientists recently found out that DNA cannot survive long enough for us to clone dinosaurs IRL. That sucks. But hey, this mod is still fun, even though all my childhood dreams are ruined.

I use the FTB modpack, because it's fun, and extremely convenient.
Playing on the 1.2.5 version this crashes everytime I harvest a fossil. I fixed the ID conflictons by changing the ID's in the cfg file but it still crashes.
Ive also have the slenderman, aether, and twilight forest mods installed.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?
I know without the ID confliction fixes I get this. It seems to be the Twilight Forest and Fossil arent compatible, when I change the ID's in the twilight forest the game will turn black upon load but when I change the ID's of the fossil cfg it still crashes when I mine/harvest the fossils.

i like this mod. i am fasinated by ancient history, and have quite a few idea's i would love to discuss indepth with you. do you have skype? at any rate, here's a few things i have thought of:
multiple ages: the deeper in the ground you go, the higher the change of finding relics from an older age.
other civilizations: a human empire that went to war with the pigmen empire, a war the colapsed them both to ruin. the humans have left behind there own relics. some biomes are more likely to yield pigmen, others human. and the rarest of all, at the deepest darkest layer, a civilization both regardeded as we now regarded theirs: an age of long gone mysteries and untold wonders. question is, if THEY thought of it that way, what would WE think of it.....
more equipment: more armor pieces for the ancient helmet, human equivalents to the pigmen armor and sword, scarab armor, dinosaur hide, bone armor, indiana jones-esk getup, and some unknowns.
more ruins: military encampment, house, temple, labratories, and a highly unusual labratory complex.
fossil and relic distribution: sometimes, subtle signs will dictate an unusually potent site: off color grass, or lack thereof, younger tree's. remnents of trenches, unnatural land formations for the biome, or a faint ruslting in the wind... these might be signs of an old battlefield of the human/pigmen war, something of an arcane nature, or perhaps something sinister...
spirits: the remains of the deceased are to be treated with respect. not all spirits leave, and some of them arn't nice. the definition of "disrespect" is relative. displaying remains with care and dignity might suffice, but some, taking a leaf from the endermens book, take so much as a glance as an unforgivable offense. tempt the dead at your perril, but their remains and possestions might be of more information, power, and/or value than less "taken" objects. this job IS risk vs reward, after all...
museum: a new building in a vilage, to display your more prominent findings. perfect fossils, rare armors, or bits you don't want or need might go here. the currator will pay you for them, obviously, and he might even give you asignments.

The feeder don't show you any value.
The dinosaurs grow to "adults" in few seconds, not have sounds, don't kill anything
The velocirraptor don't have color
The mosasaurio don't try to kill me and sinks to the bottom of the water and don't move.
If you mean the velociraptors are grey, but with eyes and stuff and detailed mouth then that's normal. Eventually, if you let them breed, they might produce colour, such as green. Note that this is on P-3 as I can't get P-4 on my Mac, so may not be true.
This mod has become a bit of a shambles hasnt it? Which is a shame as its one of my favourites and adds so much to the game. I think it needs some intensive bug fixing and it needs the dinos that are currently in the mod to to hatch, grow, move, fly and swim properly, with sfx, before any more gets added to it. Lots of new content is fairly pointless unless the existing content works as it should.
You try making it bug-free on SMP + listen to the complains of people that want it NOW ( and I'm not angry )
Could someone please send me their mod_fossil.cfg (if they have one) so I can put it in my configs and actually make certain things compatible? Thanks!
Thats my whole point - there is only one way to develop mods successfully, and thats to ignore all the idiots clamouring for instant updates and shedloads of new content. 1.3.2 was a b.itch of an update for modders and unless what was already there content-wise in the mod is working properly and performing as expected and desired then trying to cram even more stuff in and trying to rush things to please those who want instant gratification is going to lead to a spiral of decay and increasing bugs and crashes that we are seeing the start of now.
The modders need to take a step back, take a big breath and turn off this thread so they are not distracted, and work solely on the mod stability and functionality and bug test the ass of it before another update. Only when everything is working fine should they then address new content and functions and peoples requests and ideas. And if it takes a couple of weeks it takes a couple of weeks and people need to back off and stop whining about it.

I found in the v69-P4 .zip file the folder called TimeMachine and BlockTimeMachine.class & TileEntityTimeMachine.class... I can't find them in the game though, is it even added in the mod yet (probably)... And if it is, is there a way I can find it? I tried searching with NEI but I can't find it, nor can I find the configuration file.
EDIT: Sorry, I read the F.A.Q. and corrected myself. Still, the configuration file is missing, but there are NO IDs conflict with this mod and my 32 other mods, which is strange since there normally are, especially within that range of default Block IDs and Item IDs.
