i know, but i don't think you red my previous post. i want to mke a banner. i have an idea but then i need to be level 13... and with NBTedit you can't change your level...
You can change your level.
Its under "1 entry" > "Data" > "Player". There's 2 options for the level; BuilderLevel and FighterLevel. Set them to what you want. Then you just join your game and force it to give you the magic, either by dieing heroically in battle or gaining another level.
Hello. I've been doing videos of your mod on my YouTube channel (TheGrimGary). None of the videos are posted yet, but will be soon. So far I enjoy the mod, it adds a lot of new challenges to the game. However, there are a few things that kinda make me groan.
1) Elementals dropping snow EVERYWHERE. Either they should stop doing that, or at least make it go away after a few seconds. I like the effect, I don't like the permanence and clean up that needs to go on.
2) Netherrack spots. You state these increase the spawn rates? They're everywhere. Far too common. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
3) As stated, and you already know: ModLoader. LOL. Not trying to be a pest there.
4) The Radius of the man eating plants is probably a little too big. Perhaps if you are out of LOS, it breaks the hold? It seems like standing in the event horizon of a black hole, for which there is no escape velocity.
Out of the 3 mods I've done videos for so far, I am enjoying the features you've added in.
Some things i've noticed that i'm not sure are bugs but I have not seen any documentation stating it is intentional:
Upon death, you lose your rings permanently even if you go back to your body.
Zombies are dropping apples instead of feathers
The new gem blocks appear as dirt/stone a lot of times.
the ice from elementals doesn't despawn (very annoying)
The ringmount rarely drops combining with the above problem that you'll rarely have a ring.
Killing enemies with the Harm spell causes them to drop no items.
The mini-zombies only seem to spawn on one difficulty, and rarely at that.
Using the teleporter to return to where I last used my TP Stone causes me to spawn in the ground(Sometimes causing suffocation).
The following are some things I suggest:
Being able to craft the ringmounts and TP stones.
Remove the snow effect from ice elementals if you cannot get snow to despawn from them.
Make the lobsters a little smaller.
I absolutely love this mod though. It has single-handedly rekindled my interest in Minecraft and I highly suggest more users try this mod, it's one of the best I've used. I'm looking forward to what you continue to do with this mod.
any multiplayer servers?
oh and how do i make a ring mount
There is currently no multiplayer server support for this mod, however we are planning to include it.
Ringmounts cannot be made, they are dropped by skeleton knights and ice spirts. I think in the future they will be more common.
Well, I'm finishing up my series of videos on this mod for now until it gets fixed up a bit and does the mod loader thing. It's a little too buggy for my tastes at the moment. That doesn't mean I don't like it, just means there are other mods to look at that are more fine tuned at the moment.
Before I go for the while here is a list of bugs, things that need to be tweaked, etc I've found while playing the current version
Ice elementals (spirts whatever) leave snow ALL over the place. Feature needs to go, or at least make the snow vanish behind them.
Elementals seem to be able to spawn in my house because they have no terrain/light restrictions.
At a Jade Staff or better, the heal spell can be used no matter how much mana you have or don't have and heal you to full.
The above can be fixed by only allowing to cast while having mana.
Mining Lapis Lazuli with the Mining Spell produces ink sacks.
Anything in the ring and amulet slots vanishes when you die.
If you right click items in your armor slots, they will go into your ring and amulet slots
Lack of diminishing returns on Jade staff and higher when repairing a higher level staff. For example, I can use a Jade staff to repair an Amethyst staff (the blue gem before Painite). Then repair the Jade staff with a few clicks, leaving the higher level staff almost untouched.
Lightining elementals spam lightning FAR too much. Plus it wrecks the landscape after a while. My world looked like a snowy-pothole ghetto after a while. Plus using the minecraft base lighning effect is FAR TOO LOUD for something like that.
Blocks such as Jade, teleporter stones and Amethyst blocks get odd textures. Sometimes you can see them, most of the time you can't.
Spell icons get all streched out on the quick bar when you first get them, or after you die.
There are larger monsters that one shot you, no matter how much health and armor you have. This is what has made me stop playing for now.
Hope that helps! Hope you keep up the mod! It is fun, but the bugs are making it frustrating! =)
This is epic! still a work in progress but its already amazing! add more mobs and some other cool stuff and you might just have one of the best mods on earth!
I just thought the towns looked a bit too empty (no people). and not quite medieval enough.
but other than that this is cool! really cool!
Edit:
Oh i just had a bright spark! why not have a totally new biome?
The corrupt lands would make a awesome idea. say like new mobs spawn there and new plants that could make fancy magic stuff. maybe even a new ore! how does that sound? make it very evil looking though... if it wants to be a real corrupt land.
Hurrah! I've been waiting for the update to this awesome mod for forever. I even made an account to bump you guys. Hopefully armor will work like guy said...

Thank you for a great mod!
EDIT: Awesome, 42 posts. :mellow.gif:

Does this work with single player commands and TooManyItems?
Because I have both installed, but now my game crashes.
After loading a world, it says "saving chunks" and closes the game without an error report.
Help?
Oh lol.
I missed the first line of the first post.
Looks like I'm not going to use this mod :sad.gif:
Anyone know any good "skill" mods?
btw.. EPIC MOD yo....

I am the maker of maps, and don't forget it.
