Pam, this is a bit of an odd request, but is it possible to disable seeds being craftable from your fruits?
I'm running a relatively difficult server and I'd like to have your seeds drop, but I'm not wanting the plants to propagate and become too easily available.

Anyone who's NOT Pam: Any suggestions?
If you're running a bukkit server with forge in it, I think there's some bukkit plugins you can use to disable certain crafting recipes. I know that there's at least one, because large servers use it to prevent people from crafting tnt and then griefing with the tnt.

I have HarvestCraft installed properly (I hope) by dropping the base, bushes, crops, trees, and misc zips into my mods folder, but when i try to log into my server, this shows up:
I have the base in my mods folder, so I check the config folder and open the base file and look for the files mentioned. They're not there, so I take a copy of the base zip file and open it and find the mentioned files above as .class files, like they're supposed to. I don't get why this shows up even though I installed everything properly.
Yes, it is my server that I set up myself and run, and my client setup and server setup are exactly the same, I even double checked. It's a really frustrating thing since I really want to play on my server with my friend.
Hey Pam? I set up a neat variant on the Super Hostile Canopy Carnage using my current build, where these villagers are stuck in a little hut on the edge of the island, having rescued several crates of goodies from their "sunken ship" and hastily built a hut out of sugarcane. (It looks pretty nice btw. I'm glad because sugarcane is a major starting resource on Canopy Carnage.)
Thing is, I'm finding out the detriments of being able to break these crates and blocks with a single blow. And since it almost got me killed a minute ago, I thought I'd comment on it.
First, being able to break sugarcane blocks quickly made them sound like an awesome quick ladder. Unfortunately, when I break them fast, they also don't break my fall, so trying to zipline it made me take significant fall damage before I realized I ought to slow down.
Secondly, my house being made out of sugarcane blocks means that if I misclick I've suddenly got a hole in my wall. Combine that with lag and I might have enough to let in the creeper outside. Yikes!
Same with the crates. They form part of my perimeter fencing (placed three high so villagers don't start climbing over them and I've got some defense against spiders). When I tried to replace some sugarcane wall with wood, I ended up breaking both the wall and the crates beyond it, bringing down part of my perimeter. Given that my primary goal here is to protect my villagers, that was another "Yikes!"
And thirdly, it just doesn't feel realistic. I realize they're supposed to be easy to pick up and carry and stuff, but I do have to slow down for that even in real life, so could you please make them at least half as hard as regular wood?
Addendum: It'd be kinda neat to have a sugarcane fence. And to have some storage containers (crates) for your rugs, because I ended up putting a bunch of rugs in a chest as part of the cargo my ship was carrying, and while it let me get a decent assortment all in one box, it would also have been nice to have some visual containers. Perhaps rug rolls (8 in box shape) that then stack to make a rug crate (again 8 in box shape, so the single crate has a full 64)?
My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
Everyone should be very, very happy I added all of this content before having to do all this crazy stuff. Had I know this is what would have happened, HarvestCraft would not be this large! lol
I prefer it being this large. It helps to offset the tiny amount of food stuffs in default MC. Although I still plan to have ALL of the food crops this time around. *sighs* Thank god my Alienware uses a SSD for the main os\gaming drive or else it'll probably be a slow load for me.
Oh sweet! You taking your time doesn't bother me since I need to wait till all the mods I need update to 1.5.1 now. Damn Mojang for being TOO fast on fixing the game. XD
I know yer busy (seeing as how 1.5 came out a week ago and now there's 1.5.1) but I was wondering if you would be able to help me. I'm using the most up to date version of Minecraft Forge, Minecraft 1.5.1 and the most up to date version of MCPatcher. I get the following (pic) error just before my patcher (while trying to load minecraft) freezes and minecraft never loads.
Dropping by to see how things are progressing with the massive amount of data that needs fixing up on your fabulous and extremely useful food mods. Glad to see you are still plugging away at it.
Me and the kids have already started making the new garden in anticipation of completion.
Still not sure if I really want "Mo creatures" this round of maps. Even if we really like horses, the bunches of critters trampling all the crops gets tiresome. I even started caring a ranged weapon (Balkons) when i would go picking crops. They might be cute bunnies, but that's MY lettuce!
I can totally understand the difficulty involved in updating every single tiny picture you have. And don't ever feel like you need to rush doing this as from what I can see, there are many people that are still doing the same and they have considerably less objects and such.
So yeah, throwing you a supportive note of encouragement!
Loving harvest craft. No idea why I hadn't tried this mod earlier.
Just wanted to confirm a few bugs though.
Jelly doughnut and mustard recipes are wrong. Also breaking a leaf block with as unripe fruit attached gives you a smooth stone block.
Also, peanut butter + celery is candied ginger? Actually, a lot of things + celery are candied ginger. Is this because I had to change a bunch of id's to get it working with my other mods?
Any chance you saved the stitched textures and can compile a version for 1.4.7 with any bug fixes, if you happen to fix them?
Lots of us are holding out on updating until a few major mods take the plunge. Thaumcraft, biome mods, etc.
kinda poopy that mojang didnt allow 1.5 and 1.5.1 versions to be compatible with each other (as far as mods go)
well they couldnt do that even if they tried as there were so many bug fixes and changes, and forge had some updates as well, the new base classes in 1.5.1 drastically were altered to fix the problems of 1.5

well that changes my stance then if it fixes what they broke im all for it thanks

At least now that everything is separated and all the blanks deleted, I can go back to re-naming. Sweet jebus.
Am I doing something wrong?
