If you have any suggestions or ideas for this mod, please don't hesitate to tell me :smile.gif:
1. Impact Zones
It would be a huge smoldering crater with fire and obsidian and fire zombies would be around the zones. When they attack, it lights you on fire for 3 seconds and do the additional hit damage that regular zombies do.
2.Burnt research facilities
They're a bit more rare than the larger homes, but they have 2/3 floors and really big. They have a lot of rooms and a main lobby. Similar to how a hospital would be laid out.
They can contain chests with good loot like leather armor pieces and low grade weapons/tools. You could also find iron armor or weapons, but they're rare.
Some rooms will contain some mutated spider spawners. They're similar to cave spiders, but while poisoned, your movement will be wobbly.
3. Sewers
They could replace abandoned mines and will be lined with stone bricks/normal bricks. There would be one block high water and sometime drops deeper or no water at all. It would be dark in some places and sometimes you would find a torch or glowstone on the wall. The sewer tunnels intersect through a main round and deep hub. In that circle, there would be cobwebs and a giant spider. It doesn't have any poison effects, but they do pack quite a hit.
I'll edit my post if i think of anything else. All this stuff was off the top of my head as i was making this post.
I seem to find houses everywhere, which is good for supplies, but instead of (2), something like a larger town, being very very rare. Has things like butcher, baker, clothing store(leather), hospital(potions), library, workshop (metals , piston parts, and tools), jewlers (diamonds and gold) even a garden store with nursery(seeds and saplings).
True survival feel. But massively rare would be good, would also make an awesome base when rebuilt.
Instead of or in addition to sewers, something like a subway system. Badly damaged of course, with the occasional bit of rail, and supplies.
It is a bit of work though, so not sure how much others can help with. My skills in java are limited to say the least, but would be willing to help where I can, if silver weasel wants it that is. :smile.gif:
Was thinking about a wasteland challenge map, started playing an oasis one of those this week, and it has potential, but i just started rebuilding the floating chunk into a death star like setup :smile.gif: .
Yep, I need to do some work for villages(I want to convert NPC villages to destroyed survival settlements, and turn the testificates into survivor guys). Mineshafts might become subway systems if I can stop them from spawning on the surface(seems to be a bug with their code guys, I believe they're supposed to spawn in dirt but if they find grass then they stop, obviously not what we want).
I wish i knew about coding. I have so many ideas for mods and whatnot, but I just don't have the knowledge to put it into a game.
Thanks for the suggestions(in your earlier post), craters have been a thought of mine for a while but the actual implementation is a lot harder than you'd think :tongue.gif:
Also, on the subject of coding, it's definitely worthwhile to pick up a programming language. Even if you just do it as a hobby(like me) it really helps because you get to have fun building and modding games, and it also really develops your math skills. Just look up some tutorials, or buy a book.
This is a very nice alternate game experience
I have a problem. I use this mod in combination with IC2 & RP. The problem is that
1) I have lots of rubber trees on the world. Although the normal trees are all gone, you can find plenty of rubber trees. This ruins the experience… can you (anyone )do something about the rubber trees. I need the rubber but it must be scarce too and the rubber trees should be limited or naked too.
Can I disable the rubber trees, but still get the rubber from some other source?
2) Also I found strange huge trees (4x4 tree trunks), full forests of them. Their trunks if you break one of the blocks you can see the void… (every time…)
I will post some pictures later today.
Any help would be very appreciated.(I want a post apocalyptic game)
A suggestion there should be big disserted / destroyed towns full of decaying zombies and many items to loot.
Thanks.
On the subject of the mods, I think I'll need a compatibility patch for those two(basically a little folder that contains files that patches the two mods and makes em work together). The Huge 4x4 trees are obviously part of some other mod, and the forests spawning are a problem. By the way, what mod are you using that has the letters, 'RP' ?
This mod is officially amazing. I am currently spending the night in a large tower filled with bookshelves. Also I would love it if someone would play this online with me. But I can't make a server so you would have to. Message me if you want to. Thanks and again epic mod.
I found a buiding and the whole basement was flooded with water, glitch or not?
I've run across several buildings with flooded basements, so I'd say it's not a glitch.
Awesome mod so far; I've been running it with Yogbox installed, so it's been interesting with Millenaire and the airship mod in particular. Terrain generation seems to be a little bit odd, with a bit of a stripy pattern commonly showing up; just wondering if that was intentional or not. Keep up the good work, and hope to see more in the future (including the server hehe)
WHOA i ran into a ruined house took a bucket of water from the upstairs chest (yes!) and went to the basement and GOT NOOB TRAPPED! the whole place litteraly blew up! good thing i survived tho any body else run into this? i would put up a screen shot but i don't know how. hehhehe
(Nuclear Power Plants)
Very rare and would contain iron, food, blaze rods and other Nether items. Have multiple monster spawners, and treasure.
(Shops)
With many chests, and would be abandoned and have keepers.
Whenever I find string in a abandoned house, it is a infinite stack. It shows one string, but picking up more string dosen't change how many their are, and it can place string infinitly in the inventory.
Hey,this mod (SMP or SSP,does not matter) stop squid spawning?.
Beacuse they are too annoying, and seen chilling out in holes of water of 1*1,terrible.
If possible, you can stop the spawning of squids?.
I have an idea for a above ground dungeon, it would be a large tower made out of mossycobble/cobblestone with vines going down the sides. About 4-6 levels, 4 block high rooms, 10 blocks wide and a cross. Floor would be wooden, but would be rotted and missing in some places. Silverfish or spider spawners would be good mob choices. The top floor would be a CEO's office, with a log desk and a chest with useful or rare stuff. (Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Leather, Paintings) etc. I can put a picture of what it might look like if you want. :biggrin.gif:
Edit: Here are some images for you!
First floor:
Second Floor:
Third Floor:
Fourth Floor:
Don't worry about those signs, there not important.
I have a quesion about how the oasis generates. Is it biome specific or not? Say would it generate in a desert or an ice plains or an ocean, since the water is gone?

I believe every basement has this. I have yet to find one that doesn't. Look closely for a pressure plate dig one block down next to it then destroy the block the pressure plate is on (Trying to destroy it triggers it I believe so destroy the block it's on.) it is a simple way to get plenty of free TNT
From earlier comments by Silver Weasel, the Oasises, no wait Oasii, or is it Oasee.... Well the blocks of 4 by 4 squares with water, grass and a tree, are found in the desert biome, ie Sand.. Since there is no ocean then there is no beach, so sand is just the desert. I have found 2 so far, and have managed to massively expand out one of them into some nearby dirt. Well nearby was 30-40 squares but close enough that the grass seems to be spreading.
So yes, biome specific. Biome is desert. Desert is sand.
Unless I am mistaken. :smile.gif: Which I often am.

They should just be collections of randomly put together cobble, mossy cobble, and wooden planks. Why do you need a picture?
Because I'm a swell guy... Here are two screenshots of two rubble piles.
One using my Wastelandcraft Texture pack and one default (Should Silver Weasel ever want to use one of them in his description :smile.gif: )
TG: john is TG: im not

nope, your correct. they only spawn in deserts
