I'd say that that will have to wait until Ha3's full release for 1.7.10 is out, as the new expansion format may change once he figures out how to get streaming sounds to work.

People are funny. Even a five-year-old knows how to spend money, but there’s plenty of adults who don’t know how to earn it. They feel better handing over money than bowing their head and taking it. They go on and on about how the customer’s always right, always the winner but isn’t that supposed to be how the seller feels, not them? But if everyone’s spending, who’s left to provide the service? I think a society where people prefer earning to spending is a healthier one.

Sadly, these dirty hacks are worthless. None of them work, nor are they even proper formats. For example, the "Edit your versions.json" tip is bogus, as it forces Minecraft to try and load non-existant libraries from minecraft.net. I'll wait until the author comes out of retirement and fixes Matmos properly.

Actually it does work. If you read, you will see that someone is hosting them on his vlan. I have this working on 1.7.10 just fine.
Search is either not working or no one has asked this, but is there anyway to get the weapon sounds when swinging them to work with the weapons in Tinkers Construct?
Ha3's probably busy with school or something like that, along with the formatting issues mentioned above, so an update won't be here for a while, I think.

Here is a link to Ha3's MSI conversion. This is the resource pack that works with MAtmos 1.7.10
The link was in the post directly above yours. Please browse the thread a little before asking questions.

I can't convert a 1.6.4 XML into a 1.7.10 JSON. I have the pointer set and try to load Developer mode, it just crashes. I also get an error when MAtmos starts saying that the XML is causing the problem. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I'm just using the regular MC Launcher. In any case, I did end up successfully converting the XML files to JSON format. I just needed to reload my game and everything loaded correctly.
Okay I want to install this mod for Minecraft 1.7.2 (possibly). Is there a way to install it or do I have to use 1.7.10? Can anyone help me?
EDIT: nvm, I found a way!
1) get the MAtmos r28 for 1.7.10 , unzip and put in mods folder.
2) get the LiteLoader mod for 1.7.10.
3) get the msi_conversion resourcepack and put it in resourcepacks folder.
and there you go, it should work once you select the resource pack ingame.
Even if that does work, why would you want to use 1.7.2 instead 1.7.10? 1.7.2 has tons of bugs that were fixed by the time 1.7.10 came out
Anyone knows if the source code for that mod was released? I could give credit to the op and finally release a fully functionnal FORGE version that is a simple drag and drop.
This mod is one of the coolest one in Minecraft, but its installation is painful and it has many rough edges.
This mod deserve full attention since the audio is 50% of the user input experience.
Who said that MAtmos wasn't drag and drop using LiteLoader? It's exactly the same as Forge. I'm pretty sure the source code wasn't released. We have to be patient.

Yeah, it works exactly like a Forge mod, but you need LiteLoader instead. You can even have it installed alongside Forge

However, after doing the steps and starting the game with official MC launcher, it didn't crash.
Maybe it seems there's something incompatible between MultiMC and matmos with xml in 1.7.
