Many thanks for the heads up! Can't wait to try it out on 1.2.4, since downgrading to 1.2.3 didn't quite work out for me. Plus, the video previews really make one want to have this mod.
Matmos shouldn't have to be a mod. It should be in the game by default because it's just awesome!
Constantly nagging the creator won't make it happen any quicker, though.
Just be patient, at least you know when you can expect the update.
Yep, and if people are nagging so much to the point that he releases it with deathly bugs then he'll just get more complainers.. (cough minecraft hehe).

hey i know this is going to be 1.2.4 soon and so i was wondering when he updates it that he can add in support for the 4096 block ids mod because it keeps crashing my 1.2.3 whenever i go near a block i set above 255 other than that, great mod
ps the error is out of bounds i guess it only searches 255 blocks but crashes with anything over and it doesnt use the 4096 ids mod
Hmm. I'm pretty sure I installed this right (got the 1.2.3 version with the Weapon interactions). Threw everything in the .minecraft folder.
Ran the game in Single Player. I'm hearing sounds. But I'm seeing this in my chat window; ßfMatmos: ß6A ßfr11ß6 update is available (You're ßf1ß6 version late). ßfMatmos: ß7This message will display ßf2ß7 more times.
Pressing F7 gives me this; ßfMatmos: ßeStopped. Press ßfF7ße to re-enable.
And this when I hit it again; ßfMatmos: ßaLoading...
I assume the numbers and other stuff is HEX code. I use DokuCraft that has a custom font. Yet when I tried to use the Default texture pack, it shows the same thing.
And of course it's causing Minecraft to CTD every 2-10 minutes (on the ground. Not above or anywhere near block level 128), with no error or any reason.
Is this Forge compatible? I saw nothing in the OP that says this works with Forge or not. I have 1.4.0_57.
Going to uninstall this until I get some help, since not having cool sounds is better than not being able to play. I just can't have nice things.

I have 1.2.4 running, and the version with weapon sounds, but I'm also using different mods that add different weapons. The problem is, those weapons like the battleaxe from the battlegear mod doesn't make any noises when hitting things aside from the default sounds. Is there a way to make it so MAtmos recognizes it as a weapon, or I can edit a file or two in order to get them making the same sounds as the swords? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: If I open the XRL file; interactions_weapons I get an address. At the google code page I see the lines of code and I can find the spots I need to alter. Only I can't seem to edit it, or find a way to.. Help would be appreciated.
