Well The cavern (appears in every map yes) I thought should be a break from the norm. It was me messing around a bit and I thought hey why not. And yea I know there are a lot of fungi related things so far, but what else would I put underground so you could survive? I'm working on other things at the moment too so don't worry.

Yea the cavern runs the entire world. Is there anything I could do to make it less "freaky"? Yes the Mosy dirt blocks do give off their own light. Although the lighting system is pretty odd it might take a bit to light up. They give off enough light so that Monsters should not spawn. Yea I kinda agree with the Mudstone thing. But thats the way the generator wants to make it. Untill I can think of something to fix it not much to do about it.
I'm kinda curious why do you like the mod if it has all of the problems? And I also wanted to know if you could edit your posts instead of double posting.

Second, I like the mod cause I see it having a ton of potential and I also like the whole stone-based tools,blocks,etc. (Yes I know getting to your questions in reverse of the order you asked them.)

I think you could make the moss dirt less freaky by going outside look at a moss covered rock and compare the color to the moss in the cavern. What I'm saying is make it more realistic in the colors and the shading and unless the moss at your house looks like a disco floor with circles and squares on it you can see what my suggestion is.

Well, I think I have said enough negative things about the mod and have not given enough helpful suggestions.
1: Bring back the coal compression and the small character aspects to the mod.
2: Perhaps make the cavern optional. This sounds hard to implement.
3: Add some wildlife. Example: Cave Wolves
4:Add Nether\The End content. Example: Nether-Firestone The End-Endstone Tools
5: Stone Pencil-Recipe = graphite + stone rod
Note: Number five is a joke.

There's no more flint/gravel, and diamonds are so rare now, i've literally hollowed out a hundred chunks without finding a single one. there's no squid, no sheep and no chickens. no villages or villagers, no dungeons. what's the point of making a mod if it takes out 40% of the content and closes off the end and the nether, without replacing them?

Personnaly though I lost interest in this mod a long time ago and I'm trying to find a reason to continue working on it. It was fun in the beginning, but after so little community feedback(half of the posts on this topic are mine I think) I just don't see a reason to work on this. I started to get sloppy at the end and that is why you see so many bugs. Here have some rep. You are the only person on this entire thread I actually can thank for the review.

Honestly your comment has been the most helpful in a long time. I don't care for the other dimensions, I don't pay attention to dungeons, and I have never found a stronghold or looked for one. The flint/gravel was an accident and I don't notice it due to not needing gravel. and I'm trying to provide alternatives to the above ground stuff so I don't even pay attertion to them.
This mod has a lot of work needed, and I need a good kick in the rear end to do it.

i know the feeling of something being cool at first but then it starts to burn out after a while, but i just wanted u to know that its an awesome mod and when ever u feel up to doing more work on it, we will be here to love it hehe
maybe u could try breaking it down into parts.
like i mean instead of looking at the whole thing and thinking "oh crap theres so much to do" just focus on 1 section of the work and temporarily forget the rest.
so for example just focus on bug fixing for a while and not worry about adding more and taking any more sugestions for now.
maybe after bug fixing u could move onto getting rid of the need for wood entirely

I have not been in the mods section of MCF, or on MCF in general, for a while. My heart lit up when I saw this was being updated again. I Love this mod, just have no money to donate.
Why not try to keep the surface world, as well as the "bottom"? It would make the game more entertaining and keep everything we love about Minecraft, plus the epicness of the underground world. Otherwise, a great mod!
The reason I'm asking this is because that place freaks me out.
Last thing on the mossy blocks but do they give off their own light?
