ok, so i was reading the original post(I am still having problems getting RP2 to work) I guess I missed that I need ris mod loader. I thought that if you had forge you didnt need other mod loaders... Am I wrong in this? do i need that mod loader? I know seems like a dumb question but this is the first mod i have used that needed something other than FML. NOOBTASTIC!!!!

Risu's ModLoader and ModloaderMP are no longer required.
minecraftforge-client-3.1.3.105.zip (for MC 1.2.5), I think is the last release that needed Risu's (even this version no longer needs ModloaderMP).

You must be trying to load a 1.4.7 version? MC 1.4.7, Forge 1.4.7, and RP for 1.4.7(1.4.6)!
You don't need anything but forge to use redpower. The op is incredibly out of date and therefore inaccurate. Click the link to her blog which has the most recent information and download links.
Side note: 4chan is well known for being a troll site. So giving them personal info in the first place is rather surprising to say the least.
It's highly doubtful that she was going to rescind her permissions to FTB, and it's also beside the point. The point is that if she won't talk to devs or anyone about her progress, it's impossible for them to plan anything. They're not going to wait for her and shouldn't have to. Why should they hold up their releases for someone who hasn't been dependable or bothered to communicate with them at all?
For all the fans of redpower, I truly hope she does update at some point in the future. However, I do suggest finding a way to fill the gap in the meantime. No one should be held up waiting for anyone else when they don't have to. Complaining here about the wait is rather pointless since she does not read these forums, nor has she even been active since August.
Sorry to start a fight there I thought you could not beg for updates not ask for when the release date was or if anyone heard if there was any news of an update in progress I mean I understand why you can beg for people to update like "Please update to 1.5.1!" I know you can do that I thought you could ask people if they heard from modders or if they knew the release date of the mod because on the other forums they allow that so are you an owner of this site? If you are saying that has changed I should give you a list of the other mods that everyone allows it but so you can let them know the rules are changing unless this is just for this page aka redpower I know begging for updates is not allowed but we can talk about the update like what we want in it or if we hear from the author or when the update is going to come out like if a modder said on twitter its coming out on Tuesday and I asked then someone would reply so we would know the date. I would never beg for an update because my friend is a modder and I know how much work it takes to mod so I was simply asking if anyone heard anything because it has been a very very very long time sense the modder has said a word on any of the sites because of some jerks and I was asking if anyone know if there was an update in progress or if they knew an update release date. I am sorry if you do not understand and I hope you will not try to ban me but I do hope you will try to understand what I meant because when an Update for Minecraft comes out and we wait for our mods to be updated we will talk about the update we are following the rules but we can ask about the dates to one another or word from the author unless the forum says otherwise begging for updates was the only thing that is really frowned upon along with a few other things but yeah you can look at the many other minecraft forums because it has been that way for years we would talk about an update and release dates if the author said something on another site so we know when to come on and download the mod. I am sorry if I caused any trouble but I have to try and explain myself if someone accuses me of doing wrong doing when I was not... because I was not begging for the mod at all and I hope you can see that in my wall of text ..... :3

I don't have Risu's ModLoader in my 1.2.5-related download dir.
I have it only in 1.2.3
I have a working version of MC 1.2.5 using that version of forge with Risu's.
I also have 1.4.7 in all it's glory (no Risu's with forge here). I do have a RP/forge & non-RP/forge.
Thank you SKMCLauncher and MagicLauncher.

I have a version of 1.6.6 that needs no handsaw to make covers.
I have another question though. Quarry running from the Redstone Energy Cell is running REALLY fast.
My Sorting Machine in automatic mode can barely keep up with it, so it keeps getting the first item from the input chest, which is cobblestone most of the time, and sending it out by one or two.
Now that's a problem when there is like cobblestone, dirt, sand, few ores, gems at once because Sorting Machine is only fast enough to get one or two slots that are constantly re-filled by Quarry and can't get to the other nice stuff I have there.
Any tricks for this?
I have a "buffer" Enderchest attached to my quarry, and I use a Sortron to pass the contents on to the actual sorting system input Enderchest. The Sortron pulls one slot every second, so you get 27 seconds worth of buffering. Cobblestone typically builds up to two and a half stacks in that time, with an REC on 20MJ/t.
This is the code that runs the Sortron:
VARIABLE slots
VARIABLE slot
: signalBuffer
SORTSLOTS slots !
0 slot !
0
BEGIN
1
slot @ SORTSLOT@
DUP 0<> IF slot @ SORTPULL THEN
DROP 2DROP
20 TICKS
slot @ 1 + slot !
slot @ slots @ = IF 0 slot ! THEN
0= UNTIL ;
You could probably achieve a similar result with a turtle attached directly to the quarry, and an Enderchest above the turtle. Lua is a bit simpler than Forth. Direwolf20 did something similar recently with mining wells via turtles into enderchests.
If you want to speed it up, then reduce the "20 TICKS" delay.

you can put a relay right next to the quarry and it'll pump out stuff almost as fast as the quarry outputs. It occasionally gets a few extra blocks in there, but any delay from the quarry and the relay catches back up. It never gets overwhelmed. Just wish there was some teleport pneumatic pipe like there is for BC.
Is there a Minecraft mod that doesn't have some sort of drama attached to it?
Don't get me wrong, that someone would leak Eloraam's personal info is absolutely disgusting, but that info isn't going to become any... more leaked by simply keeping the community up to date on the status of the mod. If you hate the community that much, why release a mod in the first place? It puts the end users in a very awkward position, and sometimes even other modders. Modpacks are the way forward in MC, so when one pivotal mod refuses to update or give the common courtesy of a simple 1-line tweet, it impacts so many people. But then, what right do we have to complain about free content?
Given the complete lack of effort it takes to inform someone that you are, indeed, still alive, I don't feel selfish in requesting at least that much. And if you don't have the time to work on the mod, you would be making so many people happy in handing off the project to another trusted member of the community, or at the very least letting us know us know so that someone else can try to fill the gap. We're all adults here, right?
I am a computer programmer, speciallizing in C/C++. I know the basics of java and can tell you this much, after reading how to create mods and what goes inro updating them, I can tell you that it will take time for a mod like this. Also does anyone take into account that she has a life outside Minecraft? Maybe she has children or a family? If she does, is she suppose to neglect them so a Minecraft player can get a mod faster?
Sometimes we forget that people have a life outside the games we play. Maybe her job is forcing her to work more hours or something. There are so many reasons why this update is not yet ready but people only see the basics, it isn't ready and how long it takes. Sadly, there is more to life then black and white, there is a whole rainbow.
Maybe instead of complaining people should be greatful for all the hard work she puts into this mod. This mod isn't small nor is it simple. Yet through all the issues she continues to work on it on her own time instead of playing the game which most of the people here are probably doing anyways!
So take a breather, relax and it will come out when she gets it done. Yes, it would be nice to hear from her and know she is alive and even know she is a certain % done, but after reading most of the posts I think too many people would complain rather then be greatful so people like me who would be greatful must suffer because of those selfish people who want what they want and when they want it!
Hopefully she is okay and hopefully she gets done soon, the first being more important. Also, if anyone harasses her or posts her personal info again, I will be sure to post their personal info too as it isn't hard to track people down when you know as much as I do about computers.
So be patient and wait for her to do what she needs to do, and then thank her for her hard work when she is done!

I remember Dire mentioning that there was a bug with relays, and that lots of them could lead to lots of framerate lag. Item Tesseracts from Thermal expansion are able to directly connect with a pneumatic pipe, and send the items. If you are fine with relays, you can use them for the output side. Otherwise, you can place a chest with a filter pulling from it.
you can put a relay right next to the quarry and it'll pump out stuff almost as fast as the quarry outputs.
That won't change the item flow though. The problem is that the quarry outputs one piece of Cobblestone and that is immediately processed by the Sorting Machine. Then, another piece of cobble. Two items to render, two items to calculate the destination for and to pass down the pipe. Then, a piece of flint, which goes into slot 2, and another piece of cobble in slot 1. The cobble gets picked up, and then another piece of cobble. A Relay won't change that. You could program it to only pull 64 cobble, but what about dirt, gravel, marble? The complexity piles up.
The advantage of the Sortron system - and I don't know of any other way to achieve this - is twofold: you guarantee that cobblestone, dirt, gravel, and marble have time to accumulate into larger quantities before they are pulled; and secondly, you guarantee that any leftovers get pulled within 27 seconds so you don't end up with little quantities that don't add up to whatever stack size your retrieving machines are programmed to wait for. Occasionally the timing may mean that you get 64 cobble followed by 1 cobble, but that's not too bad. You've reduced what could have been 65 separate items down to two stacks.
You don't need anything but forge to use redpower. The op is incredibly out of date and therefore inaccurate. Click the link to her blog which has the most recent information and download links.

meh, depends on how many you have setup and how long the setup is. I'm still learning RP2 pipe stuff as I've used BC mostly, still prefer it over RP2 for some situations. You should see the sorting/processing rig I've got setup on my server. It is a mess of BC and RP2 pipes as I use BC to initially separate and process the quarry output with an RP2 manager system keeping a set amount of resources in an CCC enderchest so I can have access to my resources anywhere. I've even got ICBM gun turrets on a sep system that will keep them supplied with bullets that makes them as needed from my resource chests. I've even got a mob farm for gunpowder supply.
Don't think she posts anywhere anymore or is at all involved with MC for months... I fear RP2 is as dead as can be. I Don't expect any updates. The longer he waits the bigger the gap becomes and the harder it will be to interface with other mods. But given the lack of interest since december last year I don't think eloraam cares or is able to care. But RL first and he (or she, not ever heard him/her talk so no proof there) is probably too busy. And all the wishful thinking or complaining will not move things forward faster. So as it is, I take my own post as unimportant. Only a silly computer game after all.
Remember this was thought to be true before and yet she came out with an update. It takes her a while to get out updates but generally she gets them out. I do believe if she planned on stopping, she would. She also works with forge so she has other responsibilities like updating forge. She can't complete her updates when forge isn't complete so maybe she has to wait on her work with forge so she knows Red Power will work properly.
I feel bad for you, having to update this massive mod... especially because it's redstone based.you must have screamed when mojang announced its redstone update

Two possibilities. Either Factorization and RP are having conflicting Item IDs (both are in the 9000 range by default), or autoassign messed up this mods config.
If it is the first case, then edit the config to have them not conflict with each other.
Otherwise, in the RP config, you will see that many item's have their ID set to the same number (like 768). Remap all those IDs so that each item has an unique ID. When editing RP conig, don't use notepad. Use Wordoad or Notepad++
besides relays are there any other machines which are known to decrease the framerate because in my base my framerate is about 15-20fps lower then anywhere else most of the stuff i have is from redpower and factorization but also railcraft/buildcraft/forestry/wrcbe...

Too many sorters set to auto extract mode, or too many timers (or state cells) tend to cause a bit of lag.

well put my friend, i may not know coding but i have given it a go in the past, to be honest... i was glad i made an action script to toggle a fan graphic on and off so i know how hard it is. Eloraam could simply say "ok, no more RP mods ever" and bam, but she continues to maintain RP2 in here OWN time and i respect her for that, however i do also want to point out that people have the right to ASK just as much as others have the right to not listen
