Hey, I just updated to 1.1.0 and redpower 4d but now I can't use rightclick on any of the redpower stuff on my SMP server. It works fine in single player and there are no errors when I rightclick on things on either the server or the client. What's wrong as I'm out of ideas on how to find the problem (server is windows and I tried both linux and windows clients)
You probably messed up your forge installation by incorrect order or using outdated hotfixes. I had issues with liquids, saws, and IC2 stuff, this fixes it.
“My handsaw gets used up in a single use.”
Somehow, you’ve managed to incorrectly install Forge. There are many ways to do this. You might have used a frontend program that told you that it conflicted with ModLoader, and then prevented the overwrite. Or you may have installed ModLoader on top of Forge.
If i'm try to install Forge 1.3.1 on top of ModLoader, i cant use IC/railcraft. If i'm try to install Forge 1.3 on my client => every mod say "Please update your forge to 1.3.1" . Forge 1.3.1 very buggy, if im try install it without ModLoader on top it gives me crash.
What i'm must to do in this case?
I saw someone mention Eloraam being MIA after something went down? Can anyone direct me to that page of the thread? Last time I kept up with the topic was mid December when frames were delayed.
off topic but I have to ask... how is it that supposedly some mods cant work on macs? its all java isnt it??
I've heard rumors that there's no up-to-date java on the Mac, and if that's true, than some mods (potentially even mine in a couple places) which call things that require a more recent java, simply crash on a Mac.
I don't really know, though. I have no Mac around to test those rumors on.

Didn't fix it, Originally I grabbed a fresh server jar and applied modloadermp then forge and then reapplied ModLoader.class from modloader as it wouldn't start otherwise.

Java guy && Apple guy. The latest version of Java on OS X Lion is 1.6.0_29 and is completely 1.6 compliant. I suppose it's possible a mod could be incompatible between platforms but it would require some seriously screwball stuff like making calls into the private Sun packages, or compiling for <> 1.6, or making Windows specific OS calls (like with file paths).
Okay, now the real reason I dropped in: Relatively new Minecraft guy. Just got Railcraft 3.2, RedPower2 and Buildcraft 2.2.12 up on my sandbox SMP vm (oh, running on Ubuntu vm, client on Mac. Ahem). I've done about 15 minutes of searching but there's a lot of noise to signal when you search on RP+BC.
Can I use blutricity devices to power Buildcraft machines like the mining well? Or am I "crossing the streams" between mods??
Along the same lines, I removed the Forestry mod because I ended up with two separate flavors of copper ore and ingots. I want to make sure I'm not missing something relatively simple in multi-mod management of game concepts, or if things are fairly standalone between all these major mods.

Bluetricity and BC energy is not compatible (unlike forestry+BC), but converters are expected to be implemented in RP.
You can just disable the generation of some ores in a mod's config file. Not all mods have this option, but RP and forestry do. You can also use the different same named ores in the recipes of both mods. (all one type, if the necessary Forge features are used. RP and forestry ores should be compatible.)

Contrary to popular belief, my name does not originate from the word 'cat'.
I saw some talk of the redpower wiki, and i wanted to ask for something a bit different then just switching host to a mediawiki instead of a wikispaces host.
First, i support move all current RP2 wiki info to mediawiki, its just a better more proffesional format, and its what the people of the minecraft community are used to. (IC2's wiki uses mediawiki).
Some my proposal, is that we make the wiki much like IC2's wiki
I have a question regarding Frames.
From what I can tell of the videos and what's been said on Twitter, etc, you can stick either a cover or a panel on the frame. One of the two will make it a "sticky" surface, while also overlaying the block texture on the frame. The other will keep a frame block separate from other blocks and frames. However, the block texture, for whatever reason, appears to be rendered under the frame.
So what I'm wondering is: will there be a type of microblock you can insert into a frame to both keep it seperate AND properly camouflage it? It's purely aesthetic, I know, but making my constructions not look horribly artificial is kinda important to me, and there are some Frame applications that I can't see doing with blocks covering the outside.
This pack includes everything you need to get started with the RedPower mod, combined into one so you don't have to download all of the components seperately.
I have created this compilation of all the files needed to use RedPower so you can easily install it.
Well the gui from railcraft for the tunnel bore isn't working either so I guess its a problem with modloader or forge..... thanks for the help.
It sounds like you need this.

anyone for:
I most certainly would love this.
Eloraam, your response?
OH GOSH MY POOR EYES! TAKE OUT THE WWW! Jk...but I do like the idea of having an official, professional wiki with a domain more suited for the mod.
Wish there was more information on "How to do things" instead of second guessing.
That's exactly what I thought, but you beat me to posting it rofl.
