It seems as though pressing the sneak button before the jump, as it should be does not initiate the charge.
However, pressing the jump key first, then the sneak - which feels really awkward - does initiate the charge.
It's backwards, I think. I don't think I had this issue in previous versions.

Is default sprint, and your sprint the same speed? I honestly can't tell..
Is there any way to completely replace the default double tap forward with your version of sprint? I prefer to double tap forward for sprint, but I prefer YOUR sprint. Complicated..

Default speed factor is 1.3 for default sprinting and 1.5 for smart sprinting.
No - smart sprinting is a generic sprint system that works for all kind on smart movements, including some where double clicking forward would be an inadequate way to start a sprint.

I am only running Smart Moving for Forge, without any other additions. As for the question about sprinting however, fair enough! I imagine I can just up the speed of the normal sprint, and make both sprinting methods drain the equivalent of hunger to make them equal.
So wait you have player API 1.5.1 for MCPC but it was never updated past 1.2.5 O_O I don't understand your logic.....unless I'm missing a download link somewhere.......

So, I tried to install this, but for some reason, it does nothing. There's no error or anything; the game runs perfectly, but there is no smart moving mod. I'm using MultiMC, a program that lets me set up multiple versions of Minecraft forge and select which mods to use. I did put the required API thingy in there as well, so it's not that. Some sort of incompatibility with another mod, perhaps? I'm going to try setting up an instance with just this mod (and the API one) to see if it works there.
Edit: It is definitely NOT related to any of my other mods, as it still doesn't work if all other mods are removed.

I did some testing with a friend and it worked fine for them. Strange. I eventually reinstalled it and it worked fine!

Hey I have a request, I love the "Diving" stuff, like how you dont sink in water unless you look down and hold W or sneak, but one thing I dislike is that when Im on a vanilla server it glitches me out when I go near a block because im supposed to be 2 blocks high and your code makes my client think im 1 block high.
Basically what im asking for is a line in the config to allow the extra control in the water, without changing the animation\player height\view height. Ive been using this since you first made it and it just continues to get better =] thank you for making such a great and super useful mod.
another idea that would just be for fun and im not expecting it at all but the ability to grab onto each other.
Say player 1(P1) holds grab, player 2(P2) moves and P1 gets pulled along(if you made it so the distance away P1 is as far as feet are, it could mean you could basically make a player rope)
Hey Dude can you Do a smart fighting mod maybe? also if possible make a partner thing like if your partner was sneaking and you jump while near him you will be launched 2 blocks higher?

Hi there Divisor, wanted to throw an idea out there for your consideration(if you may), As there is wall jumping, what about adding in some more features to do with park-our such as a roll to reduce fall damage whenever you fall from a certain height? And maybe a short, horizontal wall-run similar to Prince of Persia? And one more idea maybe to add in a button config for the wall jump. The current method of executing is a bit difficult and I've never seen anyone accomplish one in a video. But anyways love this mod and have been using it since 1.0
Is it just me or is this mod no longer compatible w/ the capes mod? for some reason i cant seem to get then working anymore without one nullifying the other because of the bfk.class. I don't really know if i just screwed up on the installation, or if because of the said reason cannot use these two classes together that you cant possibly use these two mods. I remember having both mods working together in previous versions. I'm fairly sure I didn't use the modloader version then either but still, I tried with the modloader version too and the game error'd. If you can't explain what I did now, I will post the crash log and see if that helps.
Can you add the ability to, for example, hold SHIFT and SPACE to make your guy roll when he hits the ground to half or even quarter fall damage? I just think that this would complete this Parkour mod, to give it an Assassin's Creed feel.

Download MCEdit and change your player position, save then load up your world, also change the speed down again..
It would be so amazingly easier.
