Anyone else experiencing this bug?
Whenever I close out my minecraft and reopen, I keep having to reset my smart-moving controls to my desired ones. It only happens when I completely exit minecraft and for some reason can't remember what my desired keys were, so it resets to default, which by default conflicts with what vanilla controls I'm used to.
If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
I did everything that it said to do but i cant play the mod so i dont know what im doing wrong. How do you install this mod, i did everything but i still cant play it.
Just wanted to say that this mod is epic, it's the only mod I know of that actually adds something good to the game! Besides Optifine for faster performance and SPC for creative mode.
I've used this mod before but it's started acting up lately. The only mods I have installed are Optifine, Modloader, PlayerAPI, and Smartmoving (for modloader client.) When I start up the game, it gets frozen in the "checking for updates" screen and refuses to go any further. It will not give me a crash report because it doesn't actually crash, it just freezes.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've installed lots of mods before no problem so I'm not sure what's going wrong.
You can switch everything off, but that will also switch off the animations.
Reproducable with Minecraft Forge 4.0.0.237 Not reproducable with Minecraft Forge 4.0.0.241
Recommendation: Upgrade to Minecraft Forge 4.0.0.241
Reproduced, fixed in the next release.

My fav mod of all time, but I have a few bugs/feature requests that I don't think should be too difficult. All of them are to do with the configuration.
1. One thing I couldn't find anywhere that I would really, really like is the ability to adjust my default walk speed. I've always thought it was just slightly slow and would love to be able to increase it.
2. This mod REALLY needs a way to adjust fall damage (both turning it off completely and setting how far you can fall before sustaining damage). I increased the jump a little and now I get hurt whenever I jump. It's even worse if I charge jump or run and jump.
3. The climbing is dirt slow without adjusting it in the config file. The problem is, if I increase the climbing speed in the config file it also multiplies the momentum you have coming off the ladder. This makes you catapult into the air 10 feet as if you super jumped after increasing the climb speed to only the same as your walk speed. Is there a way to have the speed you climb not effect how high you auto-jump after reaching the top?
4. It would be really nice if you could add the optional ability to walk up single blocks without pressing grab. I believe all you have to do for this one is in EntityLiving.java, search for: stepHeight = 0.5F; and replace it with: stepHeight = 1.0F;
A few smaller things too:
1. It would be nice to be able to adjust the speed of a jump too. When I increase the horizontal ability of a jump to a large distance (say if I jump when running), than I speed up super fast to be able to travel that distance in the normal jump time.
2. There's a typo in the config file. Under crawling speed, the comment says swimming speed. It could confuse someone but wasn't too hard to realize it was a copy and paste mistake
3. Some things in the documentation are pretty unclear:
-What exactly do the different climbing modes mean? ("free", "smart", "simple" and "standard")
-In situations like "move.lava.water:false;c:true" and "move.run.exhaustion:false;h:true", which boolean do we set and what is the c: and h:?
-What are the easy, medium, and hard modes?
Thanks soooo much! I appreciate you and this mod more than you will ever know!
One more tweak I forgot to mention that would really make it better. When holding the grab button, it should be impossible for you to fall by strafing. It's really frustrating how often you accidentally fall by getting too close to an edge and strafing around a corner is very hard to do without falling. If you get to an edge you should just stop. If you want to drop, you should have to let go of the grab key.
ya know, I'd hate to ask this of you, as I know it'll probably be difficult, but with the update to 1.4 could you maybe add rolling? Like if i was about to take fall damage, i'd press sneak and i'd roll and take half the damage i would've. ?
is there anyway for us as users of smartmoving to adjust/change the default key configuration to temporarily fix the forge optifine problem?

It seems that changing the values for increasing hunger changes nothing.
I tried to change the base factor (move.hunger.gain.factor) and the single movement factors (e.g. move.hunger.run.gain.factor) and tested it by sprinting through a superflat world until the hunger bar ist decreased by 40% and then checking the time and its always the same time no matter what values I'm inserting to the options-file.
What am I doing wrong??

I know I'm being really annoying now, but I was wondering if you can incorporate toggle speed ingame where you can change speed ingame, similar to zombe's flying mod, but much simplier. If you can do that with this mod, then I can finally stop relying on zombe's buggy 1.3 flymod.
As a side note, I am experiencing a minor but very annoying bug where I can't fly all the way up to a ceiling. I think it has to do with the animation (I tried both standard and smart flying, but still same result). Whenever my head hits a block, I somehow get bounced back one block down. So I can't 100% put my head right below a block, which you can imagine building getting very annoying when dealing with tight spaces.

It only happens when I completely exit minecraft and for some reason can't remember what my desired keys were, so it resets to default, which by default conflicts with what vanilla controls I'm used to.
bah soz someone already posted this bug
EDIT: I reinstalled the mod for the server and now the animations are up and running!
Thanks for responding. However, I am running on forge 4.0.0.247, and I'm still getting this problem. Any more help would be great.

Thanks, I might bring this problem over to optifine forum post.
