Thank you very much for this. I'm not a fan of the new grass at all and it does seem to be causing huge lag spikes for me. I'm going to wait until I'm ready to create a new world before I install it, though. Just in case :3

i have noticed with doku texture pack there are many varieties of it i think has to do with the land formation concerning biomes but does it actually grow?! notch should take that out to allow less lag and also maybe a better engine, now tell me
how much more fps where you able to get from this mod???

Hmm, thats interesting cause 1.6.6 dont give me lag spikes and on top of that 1.6.6 runs quit abit better then 1.5.01 does.I would also suggest to make sure all of your hardware drivers are uptodate.and run ccleaner and a defrag program.

So, this mod solves a problem that you don't have, and you felt the need to comment. Hardware drivers, cleaning, defraging, NONE OF THIS SOLVES THE BLOODY PROBLEM FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE IT. It's a problem with the code that causes some systems to have pulsing lag. As in, the game freezes for a second or so every 5 or so seconds. So far, only removing the new grass entirely solves the issue. My bet is that it's how the game checks to see if the grass should spread. With certain combinations of OS and hardware this causes real problems that cannot be solved by tweaking your system.
Can someone make a version of this compatible with ID Resolver? un.class is the problem. And Minecraft Extended ct.class. Also, a full reversion that removed using bonemeal on grass blocks would be awesome.

For modloader; Download Install modloader and this mod then put this file ontop of it
Hey! im working on a texture pack to make the game look more alpha and I really want this mod into it because the tall grass is a beta feature... may I have your premission?
