I just want to publicly say Thank You to sevenfour for agreeing to allow his View Mod to be merged with the Cubic Chunks Height Mod code in whatever way is needed in order to get them working together, and for being so helpful about it. :smile.gif:

The vistas look beautiful now but even my oclocked i9 multi core machine grinds from 90 to 5 fps, I think Notch is gonna have to figure out something like increasing draw distance but efficiently by not calculating detail thats too far to make out anyways and just taking up cpu cycles.
The other prob is one of those class files are already used by the water shader I think. Any work arounds?
To be honest, I'm not sure what's the difference between 1333Mhz and 1600Mhz
No, better question would be: What's the difference between 1600MHz and 2000MHz?
There's a difference between 1333MHz and 1600MHz. Your programs that uses RAM runs little faster on 1600MHz.
*** sadly this is incompatible with the amazing "water shader" mod.
both are using the iw.class file.
i'd really like to use this mod. is it possible to use another class for this mod? gotta say i prefer the water shader if i have to choose, but i like the 1024 distance setting with this mod.
also, the "dynamic lights" mod uses the i.class file which conflicts with this mod flies too, but i'm not using the dynamic light mod right now but im sure others are.
also, my thoughts on this mod: i have a really good pc and have played at highest extreme setting. the world loads really fast at 1024 distance setting. any higher than 1024 (1536, 2048) and the world just loads too slow, and after its done loading the horizon looks ugly. the horizon is farther out than the chunks will load, so you get this blue empty area instead of a proper horizon.
i get like 4 times slower load at higher setting. like 7 seconds vs 30 seconds. and the ground is see-through til it finishes loading... its ugly because the unloaded chunks underground are blue.
when it finishes loading... you can't actually see much farther using the 1536 or 2048, over the 1024. only thing you see is more blue endless blue blue blue. which makes it look like a flat world and you're seeing the edge of it.
imo, the 1024 is the ideal setting because it still has the white background in the horizon... to hide the unloaded chunks in the distance, yet its not foggy. you will still see the same amount of terrain with higher settings, but without the white background to smooth it off.

Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
I already did. The obfuscation is the same as 1.8 presumably, which is why I said it's updated for 1.8. It should work for 1.8 and 1.8.1.
Sweet, now waiting for Cubic Chunks to be updated.

It is in the Final release 1.5.2 of the Cubic Chunks Height Mod for Minecraft beta 1.7.3. Robinton is working on the 1.8.1 version now.
Thank you so much for allowing and helping with this!! :biggrin.gif:
[EDIT]
Here is an example screen-shot I took using the new Cubic Chunks Mod with view at "Short" and the FarView mode changed to "true".

Darn, I think I just found out that it doesn't work in 1.9.5, any possible fix? I just get a black screen
