Might I ask why every update of Minecraft requires laborious mod updates? Is this going to continue for a long time, modders playing catchup with the updates?
Hopefully, when they get the official API out, it won't happen anymore, but that's assuming they get a proper, fully-featured, rock-solid API out, and that's no guarantee.
@Vacrin: Hmm... I'm not surprised that Forge didn't work; it wasn't supposed to (yet; it should before long).
I don't think I'd delete my whole .minecraft folder if I were you... Here's a full mod zip of both ModLoader and CC T5. Try installing it and nothing else over a vanilla MC1.0.0 jar. That should work if anything does...
To get a CC server working, get MC Server 1.0.1, and zip in the Server download. Do NOT DELETE META_INF ON THE SERVER! That should be all there is too it.
@RaustBlackDragon: Welcome.
@Machinia: Mojang's code obfuscation. Who knows...
So close:( i actually have an error this time... maybe you can figure it out... here it is, thank you btw:)
this is unoffical but you have done the trick, i kept trying to log into the world and i finally did. after 3 tries. but that may have been a glitch... and i wasnt in creative... so ill try again really quick i hope it works...
it worked:D however i still get this error... so just a heads up for you:o it took me 4 times to get it to work. (level to load) thank you so much:)

I would really like to know if I could get a 1.0.0 compatable Disappearing smoothstone mod?
I only need the light-all though. It makes great framerate improvements.
Hey Robinton, I have a suggestion for next release.
Maybe editable PTM settings on a per-biome basis? Meaning, I can make mountains reach incredibly high while the rest of the biomes are at default levels, or I can use a pre-1.8 setting set by changing all biomes to generate the same.

That would be great. I also hope to see some use for the new terrain-gen selection button that's come out in MC1.1

@elmach: actually, I wrote that addtion. Not robinton. It was for an older version of cc and I can't update it untill robinton adds the ptm settings back. I don't think anyone ever tried it? The newer version was allready out when I released it...
There are some great pictures, back quite afew pages, of landscapes I generated with biome specific ptm settings. Really beautiful if I may tut my own.
Ill update as soon as rob does!
Edit: I FOUND THEM!!
Biome specific PTM settings in CC (1.8.1)
All these screens were taken in the same world.. Each biome has different terrain generation settings, editable from the CCsettings config file.

that looks really cool O.o. btw does anyone know how to get CC in a server? (instructions?

Wow. Those are some awesome pics, and I really need CC to update now.
I just realized that the caveless, nearly solid stone below y 0 would be a perfect spot for strongholds. Imagine a stronghold reaching thousands of blocks down, increasingly tougher and more labyrinthine as you descend.
I apologize in advance if Robinton has requested any compatibility errors to be forwarded to him, and I hope this helps you.
-Kris
I usually see Robinton thanking his users for posting bugs to him, with as much detail as possible. Most of the modders I've seen would rather know about a problem than not, even if they don't have time to fix them all at once.

Do want!
And The End Portal several kilometers down...

YEAH!! BUMP FOR THAT IDEA!! Geeze, you made me want to code strongholds.. Oh, I'd love to make versions of the Mob style mods and add the new creatures in these new strongholds. Hmm, i'll have to take a look at this when I get some time next week.
@Kris159: MC Nostalgia is not a mod. It's a tool that legally gives you older versions of Minecraft. Look it up.
@Everyone: We really should tell people about MC Nostalgia more. How many people come here saying they can't wait for the update, or they accidentally upgraded, or have any problem that would easily be fixed with a fresh jar file, and a downgrade?
@kinnikinnick: if Robinton adds PTM settings again with CC, is it possible that I could use .bob files for custom trees and ruins again? I doubt Robinton would add .bob support himself, but it would be nice to have custom stuff like that.

Just report them. Whining for updates is a waste of everyone's time, not to mention insulting to the mod author (as if they wouldn't notice otherwise), and against the forum rules besides. These scrubs don't need assistance, they need to go away. Anyone who doesn't make a backup before altering anything deserves what they get. As lessons go, that's about as good as it gets.
It still modifies the jar. The reason I estimate MC Nostalgia as the main culprit is that it probably edits terrian and world generation the most, which CC does also.
No, that's not what MCNostalgia does. It "edits" the 1.1 jar, yes, but what it does is turn it into an exact copy of one of the previous VANILLA versions. It doesn't make anything non-vanilla. At all.
Would you not need the older versions of Cubic Chunks if you want it to work with older versions of Minecraft?
The current version of Cubic Chunks for 1.0.0. The current version of Minecraft is 1.1. MCNostalgia allows you to get back to Minecraft 1.0.0 so Cubic Chunks still works.

Crazycraft II '99 Deluxe : 1.2.5DEPRECATEDProsdod's Pack '77 Arcade Turbo Deluxury 8 Cylinder 1.5 for Minecraft version 1.8.X: The spiritual successor to Crazycraft II '99 Deluxe.
That would be great. I also hope to see some use for the new terrain-gen selection button that's come out in MC1.1
That used to be there, but hasn't yet been ported into MC1.0
I fully expect for it to be in the MC1.1 version.

My bad. I didn't realise "previous version" was so ambiguous.
