Anywho I got a couple Issues and hopfully you can help.
1) What are the hot keys of the various mods? specifically NEI. I can't seem to get it to work ingame. Is it creative only?
2) When I'm disabling mods, which ones go together? A list or perhaps a grouping in the next revision would help tremendously. In the meantime how do I tell which one is which? several of them are linked and if you do not disable them all minecraft crashes.
3) I would like to add some mods to the game, how do I make sure the ID's are compatable? is there a master list somewhere?
4) Some mods I'd like to see added if possible (pardon me if they are already there): Enderman don't pick up blocks, Handy Recipies (is already compatible all you need is permission), Battlegear, and Huge trees/trees++ (as they work with treecapitator/timber! unlike the redwood mod)
Thats all for now thanks for your time. 3 million dimonds for the effort arrg!
hi can you send me a note when it gets updataed to 1.3.1 and add lots more mods dont care if it takes long
i love you mod pack can you show me how thax on behalf of the txxge club.ps easy sum + + + =
Drascoll,
According to the ModTracker spreadsheet, 'More Paintings' uses pv.class and ib.class.
You can copy those out of AMCO if you like.
I already have permission from Woot to use his work in AMCO.
Also, If you don't like a mod then you can usually turn it off by editing ModLoader.cfg in the the 'config' folder.
That doesn't work for some mods, but you can always change their 'mod_***.class' file name to 'not_mod_***.class'.
ModLoader won't recognize it then, so it won't get loaded, and it's code won't execute. Disabled.
LittleDinamite,
Thanks for the support, hope you like it. Here is a hint for ya:
The 'Recipe Book' shows how to make nearly everything. Build it first by combining a book with ink.
LeeCrafter,
Just try it. There is a lot more to getting a good pack together than most people think.
For example, as soon as 'Ruins' gets updated, we'll get to use all my custom buildings.
Pyramids, Tree Houses, Wishing Wells, Baloons, Sand Castles, ect. Traps and Treasures lurk within :
I'd love to hear anything that could improve the project.
If your setup is better than AMCO, post it.
Arrrg
really iinprove no way this cant be inproved its the best in the world but add more mods in 1.3.1 thanx love your work can i help in any way but i have no money
Calm down. Language doesn't help the situation. You'll need to post an error report for them to help you anyway. I had a lot of trouble too. I decided instead of making it work for me to go another way. I picked and chose my mods that I liked from the AMCO list and made them compatible myself. All you have to do (mostly) is use the config files to change their Item and block IDs to be unique. some class files conflict though and I'm working on how to fix that. maybe once I figure it out I can help better. good luck.
Hmmm... It seems that I can't run AMCO with OptiFine. Regular AMCO works fine, but every time I try to start my world, it says "Switching level", flashes an error screen and goes black. As for error reports, I can't seem to get the error bat to work either. Everytime I try to launch it, it pops up for a second and closes. Minecraft doesn't launch after closing.

Maybe the version of optifine is incompatible with the amco mod pack.
This is truely one of the greatest minecraft mod packs and I love the selection of almost all mods. There is one mod that I would really enjoy seeing in this mod pack and that is "Mystcraft" by XCompWiz. I have done some looking around and no one has said any way to put Mystcraft into AMCO by Arrrg of course. As it turns out Mystcraft overrides the following classes in AMCO: alb, fq, ra, xd. Which got me wondering, how do people make files that you add to your .jar that allows compatiblity between two mods that use the same class file? Anyways thanks for the modpack and please take into consideration Mystcraft by XCompWiz.
If I made a let's play of AMCO, would you people watch? the answer is irrelevant. I think I might just do one anyway, for the heck of it. And now I will post a review of what I think of your modpack also... because I can:
Review:
At first glance this appears, as people have already stated, to be just a bunch of mods "mashed" together.
Although if we look a little closer, there appears to be quite a lot of work done with this. Primarily, as I read, I noted that Arrrg had (at least claimed) to have contacted and gained permission from the mod authors. Second, after digging through the config files, I saw that not only were block ID's changed around and fixed, but also the load order and checksums were all configured a bit. Arrrg does a nice job of "mashing" all these mods together to be (mostly) compatible with each-other.
THE GOOD:
There are many, many mods involved. All the things that we thought were possible in vanilla Minecraft are shadowed by what these mods can do. Some are purely aesthetic, like Whee! Flowers. And some completely alter how you play the game, Buildcraft and Equivalent Exchange, to mention a few. Basically if you want to do it... you probably can. And of course, if you're lazy like most of us, the easy java installer is... well... easy. The mods are good and fun (assuming you like modded Minecraft), but the pack as a whole is simply convenient. Arrrg also seems to do a fairly decent job at keeping things updated, at least up to where the mods themselves need updated to 1.3.1 The last thing is the "custom" texture pack. Arrrg uses several artists packs and a few of his own texture to give the game a neat "steam punk" feel. I personally don't care for it, but if it's your thing, it's a nice 32x32 pack, with some mod support already installed.
THE BAD:
There are several mods that seem to be redundant for me. Recipe Book, doesn't really need to be used with the Crafting Guide; Timber doesn't need to be installed with Treecapitator, etc. If you want to just install and go that's fine, however, if you're picky like me, you can end up spending hours fine-tuning the mods; activating some, disabling others and editing config settings how you want. Also if you just "load-and-go, you'll notice that there are several "bugs" as mods try to interact with eachother. The last thing to mention, is that, having so many mods, this can really lag your game, especially with the 32x32 textures. One way to get around this is install Optifine (note: Optifine Ultra edition, last I checked is not compatible. Use HD or Smooth variants.), but you'll have to install that yourself.
THE BOTTOM LINE
There are a few extra mods that are really popular that I'm sure people would love to see added in the future (e.g. Mo' Creatures). And I'm sure that Arrrg has looked into this. If you love mods, and are confidant enough to change a few config files, I'd say give this a shot. Bear in mind that this is not 1.3.1 yet, So if you want to try it, find yourself a copy of 1.2.5 and give it a go... Just remember to back up your entire .minecraft folder.
THINGS I'D LIKE TO SEE IN THE FUTURE
Nix "friend mod" (or disable by default) otherwise it's just an excuse for free arrows and a bow
Tone down the Ruins mod a bit (way too many pre-generated structures IMO)
IMPORTANT: use the NEI addons for buildcraft, IC2, EE, Thaumcraft, Forestry, and RP2. (I believe the most recent updates to these add-ons are incompatible with the mod versions in the most recent AMCO release)
This is the error I got I have the latest java I run 64bit OS I try to run program and this is 1 of 7 crashes I have alot of the mods I don't use I just delete from mod pack and config files too, is this Okay to do but my errors always end up being something with java. Help me please I see that this AMCO Pack has ool mods I would like to use but I also thought about using idresolver and or forge mod loader but my guess that would make it worse.

As the error test continues to not work for me, I saw Optifine Smooth also does not work for AMCO. Has anyone successfully installed a version of Optifine?
Hey guy's sorry to hear Optifine isn't working for you. Here's a last ditch effort idea. It's what I did, and for the most part, it worked.
Download the prescribed optifine package (Use either the "HD" or "HD-S" version.) I used HD-S
Install AMCO (if it's not already there)
Install optifine, (drop the files into the minecraft.jar
open this folder: C:\<username>\<place you extracted it>\AMCO1_2_5rev3B\mods\required\Core Mods and Settings\jar
take the folder and use the files to replace all the files in your minecraft.jar file. What this will do is it will revert any classes that optifine changed, that seems to be messing you guys up. The only catch is, at the moment, I think that my zoom feature is broken.
This is the method I used, I hope it works for you.

What I would try, if AMCO worked normally before you started deleting things, is put back all the mods, and use the modloader.conf file in the config folder to enable/disable mods.
Basically, to sum it up. It looks like your game is crashing with something to do with forge (see the last section in red) and Java not liking each-other. I'm not super fancy with these things, but at least this might give you somewhere to start.

I really have to thank you for that. However, it seems that the frame rate increasing properties of Optifine aren't working for me.

What are your computer specs? Also what optifine settings are you using? and what texture pack are you using? There's only so much that optifine can do, especially when you're running 40+ mods. Try increasing the number of pre-loaded chunks. also adjust the advanced openGL's, so that only visually seen chunks are loaded.

I've got 4GB of RAM, so I don't see a problem with that. I'm using Smooth Optifine, and the default pack. And I don't think changing options will work, as I'm lagging in already loaded territory with already loaded chunks around. Only loading visually seen chunks sounds really hard to do, because that means that the chunks I'm not looking at won't change either, and so mobs can't interact.
I did what you said Shoom as I am having the same problem as drsonic but it did not make the textures HD, which is what I was looking for in the first place.

There are a few problems with my method of doing it. (I think they can be fixed, but I'm still figuring it out.) The main problem is that when you install optifine and then load it over with the amco bin folder again. it changes all the "original" class files back. So things like HD textures may still have an issue.
@drsonic one thing to try (I'm assuming you've already allocated more memory to your java). is actually allocating less. A common problem with peoples lag is they try and allocate too much memory to minecraft. for example: I was allocating 3G of memory to minecraft and the game still lagged. I know only allocate 1.5-2G's and it runs much smoother. of course, if you haven't allocated more memory, that could also be your issue. Thread about it is here.
what is the installer program you use to install it automaticly?
Edit: i cant change texture pack when i try to it just like crashes or something.
Unzip the download. There should be a file called: AMCO installer.
My game also crashes when I try and change texture packs. From my experience, it's because changing it is too much for your computer to handle. I don't know the solution for this, but sometimes if you keep trying it, it will eventually, sometimes, might work. That's all I got for that one, sorry.
mediafire link won't work for me, the download just says "Starting..." and never downloads. Any alternative download links?
EDIT: Nevermind, made it work. Was extremely laggy at first, but setting my Java priority to High makes it run perfectly. For those of you who don't know, go to your task manager, right click Minecraft, Go To Process, find javaw, right click, set priority to high. Makes it a million times faster in any instance.
EDIT EDIT: Okay, can someone help me out? I see you already have Pam's Simple Harvest Craft and Wee Flowers and I really want to install Pam's Earthcraft mod on this, but when I install it it creates some kind of block conflict with one of the other mods. Here's the error message:

Help
@drsonic one thing to try (I'm assuming you've already allocated more memory to your java). is actually allocating less. A common problem with peoples lag is they try and allocate too much memory to minecraft. for example: I was allocating 3G of memory to minecraft and the game still lagged. I know only allocate 1.5-2G's and it runs much smoother. of course, if you haven't allocated more memory, that could also be your issue. Thread about it is here.

What mods do I need to remove or what do I need to do to make Pam's Earthcraft work? It'd be nice if I could install the full Harvestcraft as well.
