I had an idea for BTW. I know FC hates suggestions and the rest of you feel free to tell me how stupid of an idea this is, but how about crafting tables having durability?

Thought as much, just liked the idea of having to get tonnes of wood as your crafting bench would break every ten minutes so you would have to haul yourself over to the forest with your axe and spend forever chopping trees only to get back and make another bench n=only for that bench to be destroyed by you making another axe.
I'm really loving the LP series you guys are putting together as well, and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to see some early game BTW hilarity (I've cracked up laughing several times while watching especially during "the chicken incident").
Check it out:
I also just realized while taking care of that, that I totally neglected to put the newest update video in the OP amidst the Friday night release chaos (sorry Icy!). For those of you that want to check out the changes in the last release, here it is:
Yup, I'm aware that jungles are weak, and we've been discussing that recently on the BTW forums. My fixing the vanilla mob spawn bug in them was a test to see if that would be enough to correct the problem before I invested more work into it.
As for the specific suggestions, I'm not really a fan of suggestions in general. Usually indicating there is a problem is enough, and then I take things from there.
Ah, okay. I only listed suggestions as general ideas.. you'll always have a better implementation
I'd much rather see more advanced crafting benches for more advanced recipes (very much alike the anvil right now).
That's already rather prominent in the mod. I think what you're looking at as "crafting benches" may be a little narrow, because if you consider the Mill Stone, Saw, Cauldron (both stoked and regular), Crucible, Kiln, and even secondary crafting mechanics like those found in the Hopper, Turntable, and Block Dispenser, I think you'll realize that BTW is already rather heavy on unique crafting devices for different purposes.
Just putting in different looking benches is rather bland, which is why I've opted for specific mechanics for different things which are then also open to unique automation techniques for each as well.
After multiple attempts of downloading manually (Fresh install, modloader, delete META-INF, and download BTW) I kept getting the black screen on login.
I then decided to use MC Patcher, and it worked somewhat. It said a few files were incompatible with some modloader files, but i just let it continue still. After getting on the game, I tried to make a new world, but it gets stuck on "Building Terrain" and wont continue, eventually just freezing. It doesn't give me any error log either.
NOTE: On MCPatcher, MTW is after modloader, which is what I was told to do by the installation guide.

Don't install Modloader, it is now incompatible. BTW comes prepackaged with its own Mod API developed by FC. Just install BTW and delete META-INF. No other steps necessary.
yea they would freak out when they see a BTW world.
"this space is entirely dedicated to a wheat farm"
"but.. but.. there was a desert here!"
"this space is entirely dedicated to mudering squid"
"THIS WAS AN OCEAN WITH 51 ENDANGERED SPECIES!"
while your at it Tabby Chat and Fancy GUI both work fine
MC-Patcher also works too
i will keep you posted when i find other compatible mods
oh and is there something going on with the darker stone? one world it's there and another it isn't...
MCPatcher is one mod that FC doesn't mind having compatibility with given it allows for more advanced texturepacks. And those other mods don't affect gameplay balance in any way. As to the stratification, the chunks you're seeing without it must have been generated before the Hardcore Strat update and, thus, have no stratification.
I got hit by a spider web while in a boat. I was not able to get out of the boat because I could not find an angle where I could see even a corner of the boat hull to click on, my view down to the boat was entirely blocked by cobweb block. The 'not having the correct tool' factor combined with the 'being in a boat factor' made it so that I could not break the block.
Does anyone know if I had been persistent enough, would the cobweb eventually have broken?
Eventually I was able to get out by logging in and out over and over. That would make the boat bob slightly on login, and I was able to click it and get out.
This is an extremely stupid idea.

'Incompatible with Everything'? More like 'Incompatible with Virtually Everything'.
I shall try out this mod someday. I bet I'm going to ragequit on day #2 as it makes Minecraft more complex!
There's no challenge that has been issued here. I'm quite happily standalone.

I miss XCommands...

I code stuff.
Please ignore the name, I made this account when I was a naive lad.
Compare where you are to where you want to be and you'll get nowhere

He made a mod incompatible with absolutely everything.
I think its time for the tutorial to be changed.
EDIT: I completely forgot to see the update video. I honestly thought it was the last update video, which i have already seen.
Sorry for my stupidity!
That's the next thing on my todo list to take care of
