Say FC, I noticed I can't smelt white cobble in a furnace to make white stone. Was this intentionally removed? I couldn't find anything in the change log on wiki, and it still lists the furnace recipe, so I wasn't sure if it was a bug or deliberate change.

You have never been able to smelt white stone in a furnace, you need a crucible to do it.
Sooooo not worth the time it'd take. Anyone who wants news on the mod can just come here or go to the BTW forums. And updating manually really isn't hard.
I love this mod; its one of the best I've ever seen. The only thing is. . .it's ModLoader. I understand, since you've made a point of saying "total conversion", that it will never be Forge. Such a shame. I may have to convert to ModLoader just to see the full potential of this mod, because I love the features included. They are so unique, and they make this mod probably one of my favorites. Great job on this. It's a fantastic mod.
EDIT: This mod is amazing. It is totally worth switching to ModLoader. I love the windmill feature, along with the grinder, and pourable cement. It's brilliant.
FC, how about special client for BTW? You can make it with automatical updates, last news and more for eiser using
Yeah...that sure would be nice.
Also would be nice if you fetched me a scotch, my slippers, and a smoking pipe. The evening paper too please, and just leave my shoes outside the door once you're done polishing them.

You don't have to "switch." There are several utilities, I use Multi MC 4, that let you run different versions, or instances, of minecraft. All with different settings and mod load-outs.
(Quite Off Topic) Gammit, my fine man, you made me day! I will never, ever look at Minecraft the same way again! Dwarf Fortress hmm? Ahahaha! So true, so true. I will remember your words of wisdom when I am out there battling the endless horde of undead and giant cave spiders.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
[Location Continued] Really, I am also in my ☼fungiwood bed☼ with a nearby ☼adamantine battle axe☼, eating ☼cat tallow roasts☼, with a ☼gold flask☼ of a legendary drink, sunshine (Kind of like 100% ethyl moonshine alcohol, except more dwarven.)
decided to check back in on minecraft on a whim after a prolonged absence, and after seeing a post about a recently-updated BTW, i found the incentive to jump back in (unfortunately the timing coincides with exam season - but i digress...).
i've posted once before in this thread just basically drooling/rambling about this mod, so i'll try to keep it brief - i love the changes you've made to this game. they do a fantastic job of making the worlds imposing and scary again (referring more to the 'hardcore' changes, of course) - not to mention that the ages system allows for more focus on planning/construction/engineering with a tangible sense of progress...
damn. i'm doing it again. just wanted to emphasize that this is a truly impressive project. thanks again for all of your hard work - ever since i picked it up i haven't been able to imagine playing vanilla again.

Ah, so faulty wiki page then. whoops.
It was indeed, now it's fixed.

BEEEE - TEEE WOLVERINEEEEEES !!!!! (you have to imagine me standing in the bed of a pickup wearing one of those parka-vests waving a weapon around).
FC, If the name of the mod is going to be "Better than Wolverines" can you add hunting rifles? And Commies. kthxbye.. :-)

Do I get bonus points for imagining you going redneck fishing afterwards?
Anyone else getting the urge to make some dynamite? I feel like its something I have to do with the new fishing changes.

Hehe...thanks for that man
Not at present, no.
That would let people get hoppers before even getting saws. The iron requirements should deter people from even trying to make it though.
