Jeeezzzz ok calm down dude just thought maybe one of u smart brain people know some sort of quick fix to make it compatible.
cant find any topic about it... thats all.
Still one of the best mods i tested maybe even the best. Easy to instal. very clear readme explaining how to do it.Easy to change mods textures. And a best of all it is SMP. very nice.
Telling the creator of this mod to calm down doesn't usually work. However, I do not have a pastry image with me at the present, so I'll just see if anyone else has one.

"Better Than Wolves: where the line between morality and immorality is a mile wide and has loops in some places." - Stormweaver
Yes, purebdcraft has a patch for better than wolves, but only for blocks, the items are still missing, or at least so it was the last time I checked which was roughly a month ago. It seems like the mod author just edited the terrain file shown here in the first post.
some one please help me everytime i place a thing of water it acts like i picked it back up and the water doesnt stay there im sure its this mod causing this because when i force update minecraft the water works fine i really like this mod and dont want to have to get rid of it

Im alittle late, but what the hell...
Man, you are awesome. I truly appreciate you updating and following your mod unlike a lot of mod makers. *Cough
I want to thank you for helping create this awesome modding community we have today. Im guessing not a lot of people say things like this, so I wanted to. Times like these is when I really have an emotion for this ^ randomness. Ignore those haters! (Not that you have them)
-Added upside down Companion Slabs. Unfortunately, due to the way the metadata was structured for this block, this may mean that a small number of Companion Slabs already placed in your world may convert to upside down slabs.
-Added ability for Moulding to auto-connect to corners. This should make several shapes possible that weren't before with Moulding only auto-connecting to other Moulding.
-Added crafting recipe to recombine Wickers Slabs back into Wicker Blocks.
-Added birthing effects to villagers.
-Added high efficiency recipe to make stone brick stairs out of stone brick Moulding.
-Added the ability to grow tall grass and flowers by applying bone meal to grass back into the mod.
-Added a new variety of cat (tabby) to the game.
-Changed the Wicker Slab recipe to be only 2 wide to fit the recipes of Wool & Dirt Slabs, or "slabs that you can make with your hands".
-Changed the way Screw Pumps function to hopefully fix a problem some users were experiencing with a stack overflow.
-Removed ability to create Wool Slabs with the Saw, as it didn't make a whole lot of sense. You can still of course create them in the crafting grid.
-Fixed problem with multi-color wood stair recipes involving Moulding, not working properly in SMP.
Enjoy!

Are there any plans in place for carrots and potatoes? Also, how does the new Wither mob tie into BTW? About time vanilla added something to *increase* difficulty of something...

I love you so much for adding the grass growing ability back. I was having nightmares thinking of how i'd have to plant the tall grass in my garden by hand and not get a nice wild look.
The birthing effects are the only part of the mod I do not like whatsoever. It is unnecessarily gruesome and adds no value to the game. If you want the effects in, can you at least make them optional? Especially since passive mobs only spawn on chunk generation, breeding is necessary to the game, and seeing the birthing effects every time just shows poor taste from the mod developer and a lack of foresight about the potential ages of mod users.
So birthing effects are unnecessarily gruesome, but turning a wolf into a block and sawing it in half isn't? Harnessing the power of tormented souls for tools, armor, and machinery isn't?
It's part of the mods humor, if ya don't like it, toss some wheat (or whatever) in the pen and run away.
seeing the birthing effects every time just shows poor taste from the mod developer and a lack of foresight about the potential ages of mod users.
Or a complete lack of a sense of humor on the part of the viewer. Either way.
I make the mod for myself man. If you don't think it's appropriate for your children, then keep them away from it. I'm not their surrogate mommy, nor do I think that a cartoonish representation of after-birth is even vaguely comparable to the violent obscenities routinely displayed in 90% of video-games.

You could manually remove the particle graphics for the placenta. It's a re-colored version of the dripping water/lava in the particles.png file. Just delete the three textures in the row below the two water drops to get rid of placenta. This will also get rid of dripping water, dripping lava, and I think the green slime splashing particles.
If you would like me to do it for you, just let me know what texture pack you are using.

If there is one thing i'm grateful for about this mod is it doesn't cater to all age ranges and try to integrate a large spectrum of the gaming community along with their varying tastes and tolerances into it's base of users. That sort of phenomenon tends to dilute the quality of products, particularly media. If BTW tried to satisfy a larger volume of MC players it would have nuclear missiles and other banal things. In fact it's very name would have to be sanitized so as to not offend the masses of players that are satiated by rather meaningless periodic additions.
I spent almost the entirety of my career in the game industry doing exactly what you describe above. One of the things I love about modding, and which I would therefore refuse to compromise on, is the complete creative freedom it affords me.
I even considered slapping a voluntary MA rating on the mod on several occasions, just so that I absolutely do not have to worry about the type of content I produce. If push ever comes to shove where I want to include something that I absolutely do not feel is appropriate for children, then that's exactly the route I'll go instead of toning the content down.
with the way the mods ages are going will it ever cease to be a medieval game and enter the modern era? that just seems too far up the tech tree for me.
Or a complete lack of a sense of humor on the part of the viewer. Either way.

There is nothing humorous about excessive and unneeded blood, especially afterbirth like that. If you make the mod for yourself, then why publish it? You do it to make money off of donations, and because you know others enjoy the actual features of the mod. By publishing it, you open your mod up to criticisms and requests like I gave, but you do not get the right to insult someone by calling them humorless.
Overall, I love the mod and the new gameplay style it adds, although I'm a casual player and haven't really gotten very far into the tech tree. I offered a suggestion and criticism about a small, insignificant portion of the mod that is extremely open to personal views, yet instead of trying to give any reasoning, you just say "you have no sense of humor, I think its funny and it stays." If you are going to post your work for others to use and enjoy, at least consider being more sensitive to different views than your own, especially when it comes to a very subjective, gruesome, and trivial aspect of the mod that has no effect on the gameplay.

Gainspipr has updated it for BTW 4.12. Download the newer BTW patch for Sphax here. http://bdcraft.net/forum/better-wolves-360
There's no excitement man. Just quoting the first line of the OP in answer to your question.
Why?

Not everything should be homogenized.
Hear hear.
