When he says 'incompatible with everything', what he means is that he makes no effort to make it compatible with anything else (except Buildcraft). It modifies enough base classes that it does conflict with most other mods. It works with Too Many Items, Single Player Commands, and a few other noninvasive mods.
So I got my 3x3 grid of hibachis wired up and working. I have my cauldron one above the hibachis. hibachi->fire->cauldron. I have my bellows set up, receiving power from a gearbox that is on a turntable, and I've turned it all on and it appears to be working.
The problem is I cannot keep the fire two blocks high so can't render something like a saddle. I've messed around with the timing on the turntable and discovered a delay of .3 seems to keep the flames highest the longest, but they do regularly go back to single height.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple or misunderstanding how it is supposed to work, but any light that could be shed would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the flames need to be two blocks high. If the stewing pot is exactly one block above the hibachi, so there is only one block of fire, and the bellows are working, the stewing pot should be stoked. However, I don't think the gearbox itself is supposed to be on the turntable. That may break the whole setup.

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.
By the way, does anyone know the precise "enchantibility level" of refined tools? Because I was toying around with enchanting refined tools in creative yesterday, and I enchanted a Refined Pick with a level 1 enchant.

When bellows receive power, they stoke the fire, go down for a couple seconds, then come back up. The fire stays stoked for a decent amount of time (2-4 seconds? don't remember) after the bellows go back up.
You should time your circuit to turn back on *at some point shortly after the bellows go back up*. As long as you don't have an absurdly long timer, it's not an issue.

I walked away with Silk Touch.
Mother of Christ, that's horrifyingly awesome.
Well, we know it has an enchantability of *at bare minimum* 2419 actually the enchantment formula is a bit more complicated than I thought.

how are we supposed to get soul urns when the hopper blows up with 8 ground nether rack please fix this untill then I won;t be playing it
When ground netherrack passes through a soulsand filter the souls get trapped inside and become concentrated. Once too many get shoved in it the whole thing explodes outwards and a ghast is born in the world. You have to have an urn below the powered hopper so the souls get squeezed through the filter and into the urn, making a soul urn. There is no bug or fault on the part of FC here.

The problem is yours, not the mod's. Take some time to try and figure out the problem within the in-game context rather than immediately assuming it's a bug and getting accusatory.
If you had asked for in-game help, I may have provided it. Instead, you got hostile, so you're on your own.
ok good for you you made something that wasn't to hard before way over complicated congratulations
Actually, what I did was provide additional incentive for automation for the sake of long-term fun.
A large part of this mod is about automation. Filling the soul-urns directly in the Hopper was nerfing the automation aspect, and confusing people as to what methods were available for doing it.
At least, I assume that's what you're talking about. Again, you seem more inclined towards being hostile than actually working things out, so I can't be certain.

hows it automated when you can onyl pass 7 over the thing before you have to remove the soul sand
I still find that debatable when you get Silk Touch from a level 1 enchantment, but then again, that occurrence could just be I-can't-find-the-words-to-describe-it insanely rare.

There's a high degree of variance in the enchantment system. You probably could have gotten the same thing with a diamond tool, it just would have been even more exceedingly rare.
I haven't heard of a single other person getting a low-level silk-touch like this before. I suspect you just got very lucky.
If they did, your XP would become corrupted because of the effects of the souls used in the urn's construction. (cue music from Alien)
Thank you, that's what I wanted to know.

For the love of the gods, place the Urn as a block beneath the Hopper, and power the Hopper.

why didn't you just say that before
Because you were being a hostile *****, and I don't react well to that.
