got this with non patched vanilla minecraft (if i patch it i get only a bsod) what i did wrong?: i put modloader in delete meta inf then put btw. i fresh downloaded the 2 of them. o i have modified my minecraft louncher to let me use more ram
It looks like you haven't followed the install instructions in the readme and instead just dropped the zip file for the mod into the /mods folder. Delete that file and go back and read the instructions.
i didnt, i folowed the instructions XP get the vanilla minecraft, install mod loader, delete meta inf, then i take everyting in the minecraft-jar and put it into my minecraft.jar, then start the game,
and it doesnt work XP (i even ceeked that i didnt put it in the mod folder)
No idea then man. When in doubt, I would suggest deleting your bin directory, getting a fresh copy of Minecraft, redownloading Modloader and BTW, and going from there.
Something about your error log seems to suggest a corrupted file.

Battosay was kind enough to put together the following video highlighting the changes in the latest release:
may the courupted file have something to do with my luncher (modded to allow more ram to be used)?
i tryed to redownload minecraft-mod loader-btw and i get same error
No idea man. I don't have any experience with that. Give it a try without it and see what happens.
Okay after playing BTW for a few days now i have to say this is what Minecraft should be. I think i was mainly alienated from MC bcs of all of Notches recent RPG and Skyrim inspired additions stacking onto the endgame rather then making alterations to the beginning of the game. Great job Flowerchild. Just one question, have you considered screw pumps or would they screw up the water transport systems people use ?
I feel kinda stupid for asking this but, how exactly do you install this mod? I tried doing it like in the video but, my minecraft crashes for some wierd reason.
Mainly just wondering if I put BTW in the mods folder or if I put the files into the .jar?

Also there was a block id conflict from TF2 teleporters but, I already fixed that part.
Did you have something like ID Resolver or whatever running in the past that might have changed it around? It wouldn't have just changed on its own :smile.gif:
I can't really give you straight advice on how to fix it, as I don't know what your situation is. If you have a world from a previous version, it will likely get at least partially trashed if you start switching ID's around now. If you're starting fresh with a new world, then I'd recommend:
a) Deleting the BTWConfig file which has altered ID values for some strange reason, even though you said you didn't change them.
B ) Reinstalling the mod without using whatever program you're using that's messing with the ID values.
deleteing the config worked great thanks, havent chacked if it had all the items yet though
That's not helpful. Modloader.txt is the file we'd need to see.
Oh hello, it is nice to speak with you, I love the mod really much! Keep up the good work.
I fixed it, minecraft forge was causing errors in world creation.
Suggestions for BTW (& ED):
Adding a type of factory. (Wood, stone, etc.)
Adding a type of current up to date technology added on to it, like a add on. (Would take a long time to get current date technology, starting from tier 1 to tier (What the new max would be if added). Have a good day!

I have a Minecraft.jar file, and a Minecraft 1.0.0.jar file
I tried it in each, then in both at the same time and it won't work, the game loads normally but none of this mods features work ex. I can't craft any new items
*** The Mod That is Incompatible With Everything!!! ***
I really hope you plan to fix that... I love this mod, and would like to use others with it, like buildcraft! This and buildcraft would be an OUTSTANDING mod combination.

Hm, ok didn't know it was incompatible. Mainly because I got the link from Forge's page. Oh well I'll just take it out.

thatsssssss a very nice ssssssignature you have there
Flower, I know you create this mod for fun, and I would like to thank you for the time you put into it.
I hope to see this mod maybe incorporate some features of buildcraft in the future. (some way of transferring items like pipes do.)
Thanks again!
You're welcome man
Hoppers and water flow already provide the kind of functionality you're seeking.
They're definitely harder to use, and less high-tech, but that's more in keeping with the design-methodology behind the mod.
It is. The joke "The Mod That is Incompatible With Everything was a reference to the withdrawal of MCForge.
Wow dude, if you think that's insulting, than you are really thin-skinned (no offense).
