I can't seem to smelt glue or tallow. I have a 3x3 Hibachi set up, all working, yet when I stoke the fire I can't make glue or tallow. I have the cauldron sitting above the middle grill, and 2 blocks above it. Any possible solutions?
Now i'm more confused. iv'e read the recipie list. what is steel? what dose a crucible do? What does a vase do?
For whatever reason FlowerChild didn't want to show what got added in the update. You should just use TooManyItems if you want the new stuff. :smile.gif:

I like to keep posts on forums to a minimum or else I end up wasting all my time.
He said he's going on vacation. Think of it like a scavenger hunt, as well as a way to pass the time between this update and whatever the future holds.

Can Any of You guys help me?
I have problems with installing this mod since i need forge for it...
I have 141 IQ but for some reason I don't understand how to install it :/
I installed Modloader -> I placed the forge folder ( in zip ) to minecraft.jar and i run the install.bat but i keep getting this error...and when i try to run minecraft i get a black screen and YES i used a fresh minecraft.jar and i deleted meta-INF
You don't need TMI, you can choose to use it, if you don't want to find it out by yourself. And even with TMI, you won't find out how to use the crucible or the recipe to make the new things.
Alright, asked this twice already with no answer...
Can I speed up the rate that the pulley lifts and releases rope attached to platforms? I've got an elevator system in place for my tower which goes from bedrock to the sky limit for building and it's really slow...like slower than a ladder. How can I make it faster?
Does anyone else get a weird glitch where tamed wolves are no longer tamed when loading a saved game? I tame a wolf tell him to sit somewhere and go about my business. But if I save, leave the game, and load it again that wolf is not tame anymore. He is still sitting where I left him, but if I don't give him more bones he eventually leaves.
have you used the links to the mods in this thread? also have you downloaded the client version of minecraft forge? if you have (and don't have other mods) you probably installed them wrong. my advise then is to delete you bin in .minecraft (located in roaming) and then run minecraft, close it again then install modloader, then minecraft forge and then the better than wolves mod. also make shure that you minecraft is up to date and that the mods are to
hope that helps :-D :wink.gif:
yeah just heard it got updated AGAIN
not that its a bad thing its just a pain, i hope its worth it
Check out my commentary and multiple shows-Including survival with the Better Than Wolves mod and others! I also advertize uprising machinima directors and let's players. And lastly we offer the largest youtube song collection organized to your liking! ENJOY!
Your great mod seems to be the most important one using Minecraft Forge so far, so I thought I'd ask you for a little feedback :smile.gif: Basically, how much work was it to switch to it from ModLoader? And what are the benefits for you? I'm wondering whether it's worth migrating Millénaire to it. I tried sending this as a PM BTW but got a message saying they couldn't be used for you.
Thanks in advance
K.

You are welcome to PM-me, but I'm unable to reply to everyone. Vous pouvez m'envoyer un MP, mais je ne peux pas répondre à tous. आप मुझसे संपर्क कर सकते हैं, लेकिन मैं हर मेल का जवाब नहीं दे सकता.
What is the issue with multiplayer? Requires client version of Forge to work- ok, so what would it take to make it server compatible? I don't know what it would take, but... more than ^ please.
"Basically, for some reason Notch made Single player and multiplayer quite different, meaning code that might work in singleplayer might not work in multiplayer."
I'm going to figure out exactly what that entails. I want it, and bad.

Hey man,
Yeah, sorry about the PM thing, but I was getting bombarded with so many of them I had to shut it down at some point to preserve my sanity :smile.gif:
Adapting your mod to the Forge is actually super-simple in that you're really not required to use any of its functionality at start, and can slowly migrate over to it. Like, at present, I'm not currently using its texture-id system, but will be migrating to that in the future as time allows.
The biggest thing you'd have to do really, is consider getting any base-class modifications you have made integrated as hooks into the Forge. Personally, I left many of my base-class mods in my mod (since they were pretty special case), but decided to integrate my changes to the world.class (fd.class in 1.7.3) into the Forge API since it's such a commonly modified file, and a prime source of incompatibility between mods.
Honestly man, it would be great to have Millenaire on board. I have a great deal of respect for your mod, and I think the Forge is definitely the right direction for the overall modding community.

So you can use it as sticks when making tools? how much better does it make them?

Yes, it's all shrouded in mystery.
you need the client verson not the bare forge. the client has the folder and some other files. hoe it helps
All you need is Battosay's video. :smile.gif:
Thanks!
And thanks to Flowerchild!
