@FlowerChild
I realized the way I said it was kind of impolite. What I am trying to get to the point to is that it's not right to pick out other people's mods and saying yours is better, even if it is. This would be insulting them; I could change my title to be Better than 'better than wolves mod' of my mod, but that is rude, and not right. I have looked at your mod description, and it seems decent, but it has nothing at all to do with wolves.
Ummmm...I'm not saying that my mod is better than anyone else's mod (nor would I do that). I'm saying the features here are better than a feature in the main game (the wolves).
You're talking apples and oranges, and no, I'm not changing it. The whole origin and point of this mod is contained in the title.
Ok then, in that case, I just agree with the people above.
Oh, and you might want to make a wooden and stone pressure block. (wooden=> just cart, stone => mob/player in cart)
Huh. That's not a bad idea, and should take about 10 minutes to code. I like it, especially since it would allow "filtering" of different kinds of carts in switching stations :smile.gif:
You know, after a bit of thought, I think it might actually make sense to have 3 different versions of the minecart switch:
wood: for all carts, empty or full.
stone: for non-empty carts (including those with chests).
metal: only for carts containing the player or mobs.
I think this would allow for full switching functionality at stations, so that you could send freight, passenger, and empty carts to seperate destinations.

Great idea Andersmith :smile.gif:
Thanks. If you could make something that would push items up (Upward water currents, fan, exe.) that would be awesome.
This is the best bunch of mods ever! They're nice and simple, and don't really change the gameplay much. I also like how they're hard to craft as well.
Thanks for these! I'll be definitely using them. :biggrin.gif:
Awesome mods. But I wonder why blame it all to the Wolf? Though I agree the Mojang guys (we're not just talking about Notch here anymore) should have done MORE than just Wolves, the Wolf thing is a step forward for implementing Mobs, as it is the very first tamable Mob. That and the fact that many of us do want a pet/companion in Minecraft. And to be honest, based from my own experience with other beta software online, it bothers me little that Mojang implements very few features in Beta -- after all, it's called "Beta" for a reason. It would bother me indeed if the guys would implement very few features before the actual 'final' version of MC.
Hey, this is fabulous and I absolutely look forward to using it; however, could you make a separate download with everything but the minecart improvements because I prefer to use feanorith's viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=162515
Also, since you're already adding new items, could you make a silver ore, which drops silver and can only be used for making drinking cups, ore blocks for decoration, and maybe later mirrors(?)
I know others have tried various silver things, but they're usually
1. buried in a pack with way too many pointless ores
2. give silver strange unneeded uses (silver swords)
Thanks

Hm, Flowerchild, are you sure that the hibachis are powered by adjacent blocks? Oddly enough, I can't get them to do so.
As far as I can tell from the first post only light blocks pass on power.
Edit: on a side note, this is not a good title. A good title should have something to do with the mod(s) rather then be a protest that has little to do with mod's functionality.

Asking for a whole separate download is kind of insulting don't you think? And then you throw in a request to boot? I know you probably didn't mean to insult, and maybe you wouldn't insult the author of this mod, but it's insulting to me as a modder. Though, asking for means of compatibility, now that would be acceptable (and is a request on my part).

ROFL! Ok man, that just made my night :smile.gif:
I'm glad.

but anyway, nice mods! (and yes just as (almost?) everybody else said it needs a title change.
wolves be better than wolves? Wolves are infinitely better!
also, redstone activated lights. :tongue.gif:
I'm definitely going to use the lighting blocks!
I like you good sir.

Everything else looks truly amazing (cement, omg...)

Are you talking about directly adjacent blocks, or indirectly (like with the light blocks)?
If it's the first, it's a bug, if it's the 2nd it's how it was designed :smile.gif:
Only the light blocks work off indirect sources, if that's what you were asking about.
