Huge fan of the mod, unfortunately I can't seem to reload the flintlock. The recipe results in nothing, and I'm 100% sure I'm doing it right. Reinstalled the mod and everything.
i hate the 1.5 update now, why must i be kept form those beautiful guns!! (notch) add the guns plz

There's a SLIGHT chance that I'd turn the code back to obfuscated and update it soon, but please don't hold your breath. It totally depends on my workload.
Could we see an updated way of reloading our weapons? do you remember the prepped bullets some of us where talking about?
If you don't the idea is this
It's just one item you must pre prepare by simply combining paper, gunpowder and the bullet/bullets. Once it's prepared all you have to do is load this single prepared into the firearm. You still have to go through your inventory but it is faster than jamming in the gunpowder and bullet in the middle of a fight.
I think the reloading process is bull, It should just have an easy access reload key, like SDK. Also, the Diamond Pepperbox shouldn't have damage. It's made of diamond.

I would replace it now, but i dont feel like going through the hassle of uninstalling SDK's gun mod or deleteing my bin alltogether and then replacing my mods.
Also, is this SMP compatible?

While that is true I wish it wasn't as clunky as it is right now, which is why I think it should be done through prepared shots. You still have to prepare your shots before battle, but now it'll just be one item you're jamming into the gun and not three. Also the 6 shooter is very OP, just like the diamond swords. To be honest I don't know what to feel about it now that I've messed with it long enough.
i think the mods perfect, because the pepperbox is six shot it requires diamond, which makes it harder to get with out inv edit or tmi. the hand cannons power is evened out by the complex recipie and the reloading is great because it means you cant spam bullets everywhere.

Sir, well done. Your mod is an oasis of sanity in a vast desert of crappy wooden swords or machine guns.
A few recommendations for future versions:
Musket - bigger range, but need paper to reload (as a cartridge)
Rifles - larger range and very good accuracy, but needs more stuff to reload
Double Barreled Shotgun - double the shots double the pleasure
Multibarreled pistols - gets several shots, built by combining lesser pistols, the pepper box for lesser guns i guess. Should be finnicky and need to be fixed.
Cannon - big boom
Grenado - irons sphere that explodes
Satchel Charge - not quite TNT, but controlled charge, depending on orientation blows a 3X3 hole that goes 10 deep which is used for mining.
Just a few ideas, the musket and rifle shouldn't be too hard, but the grenado and satchel are the really exciting thing to me and still works in the time period.
As a lot of people have said before I think that you should add a double barrel shotgun. This wouldn't replace the blunderbuss maybe have a smaller range and need more resource to create? Also if you can can you make a animation of smoke (I know you have one but can you make it fill up most of the screen?) this would no do much but if you are facing a bunch of enemies this could add a interesting level of strategy. Blinding you for a second or two just to have the smoke clear and have a creeper waiting right in front you.
Any way I love the mod I just think you should maybe add more content.
P.S. can you change the flint in the crafting to flint and steal?
Haven't posted in awhile but I had to come say I'm super glad you updated this mod, having to choose between weak bows or insanely over powered SDK guns was pretty lame, having this mod is the perfect middle ground and I don't feel cheap using it!
It's nice to shoot the charging creeper so you can melee his zombie/skeletons/spider friends safetly!

Don't agree on bigger range but definitely agree on a prepared shot of sorts. You're still juggling with inventory but now it's just two items not three. Not only that but it makes bullets a little bit harder to craft.
