Hello, was wondering if I could figure out what's wrong? I get a crash about 8 out of 10 times starting MC,and then it'll work for seemingly no reason. This crash doesn't occur with the vanilla profile(Though for me its hardly even playable, hence using Optifine), or the mcpatcher profile, just the optifine one.

Well I'm just an old fart here...like 500 years in internet time.
I found a strange glitch with Optifine HD C6 Ultra. No matter what setting i have the leaves on, they will be opaque. The leaves were in-fact transparent before i installed Optifine. Is there any fix for this?
Still confused how twitch would mess with this mod. Unless its something unacounted for. Also yes, but it can't be a mojang issue, since its ONLY with this mod. :/
EDIT: Not to mention his was loading a world, not startup, and on a completely different OS and seemingly different hardware.

The twitch library is geting hidden updates from time to time.
Reinstall OptiFine so that it uses the latest twitch library and the bug should be fixed.
Hey, I need the actual optifine mod file and not the installer. I use MultiMC, which in my opinion is superior to the magic launcher, and I flat out refuse to touch the official minecraft launcher.
... block to extend my signature to infinity. I can now place as much text in this quote as I want. text outside of this quote block +BBCode for quote through the word my maxes out 2 lines, but look this signature fully extended is almost a page long.
Anyone willing to teach me Java? I wanna make some mods.
Sorry if what i gonna say is already posted by someone, but... There are any bug which unload spawn chunks? I've a Iron Golem farm in my spawn chunks, with 32 stacked villages. But, anytime i go out (not far, when i go around my lazy chunks) the villages stop spawning and unstack, then come only 1.

I had a similar issues with my leaves except the were a disfigured version of the fast leaves. It happened on an older version but all I did was reinstall Minecraft and Optifine and it fixed it for me! Hope this helps!

Preview OptiFine C7 for Minecraft 1.8 is available here.
Preview OptiFine B5 for Minecraft 1.7.10 is available here.
Preview OptiFine D5 for Minecraft 1.7.2 is available here.
What is new:
1.8.1/1.8
- fixed black outlines on transparent objects when AA/AF is active
1.7.10/1.7.2
- optimized chunk rendering, FPS +30% is possible
- report OpenGL errors in chat
- various bugfixes
- compatible with Forge #1291
I've been modding for almost two years now and as someone who sometimes experiences enough lag to rage quit for life (mainly because you smashed you repeatedly with a spiked mace to the point that you can't tell whether the dust on the floor is some germ or your computer. It's hard to tell. Everything looks the same at 400x magnification.) I will never ever play anything without optifine. Keep up the great work!
Hey guys,
I have been using 1.8.0 HD U B5 for some time and I decided to update it today. I am using liteloader and rei's minimap mods as well as optifine. I tried to install the newest Optifine U C releases and it says they installed fine but I cannot find an Optifine profile in the Minecraft Launcher besides my liteloader + optifine 1.8.0 HD U B5. When I run liteloader, it finds the Optifine U C profiles just fine but the liteloader + optifine profiles do not show up in the Minecraft launcher. I am using the vanilla Minecraft launcher. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for some information on a connected texture glitch.
If it's relevant, I'm using forge-1.8-11.14.0.1290-1.8 to load both optifine and the shader mod. If I just run the optifine profile, it works fine. Optifine version doesn't seem to matter. The texture on the glass in question seems to be the whole texturepack for misc items, like armor, bricks, and fire. (I can see the fire texture moving.)

Hello Sp614x, since you fixed the dreaded 1.8 water bug in optifine, I would like to ask you do a similar bug fix to optifine for 1.7.10.
The bug that I am experiencing is a client-loading bug. It happens every so often, mainly when loading chunks, and what happens is that the whole MC freezes for a random interval of time, from 1 second to 6 seconds, to even 10 in some cases.
When these freezes happen, the MC console sends the message:
"Warning: Clientside Chunk Ticking took XXXX ms"
Bug info here: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-44801
This issue HAS been fixed in 1.8/1.8.1, but it still lingers in 1.7.10/1.7.2.
I was wondering if you can possibly fix this bug with optifine 1.7.10 so players have an option in case 1.8 causes bad gameplay from hardware troubles (w/without optifine).
Thank you for reading, -Piano

Yep, its a bug between shaders and optifine. Until its fixed, all you can do is turn it off.
