Having a problem with optifine where blocks don't update from stuff happening around it. For example if I break a block with a torch on it, the torch stays in the air. If I step on a pressure plate next to a door, the door opens and I hear the sound but it is still rendered closed so I can't walk through it. Then if I try opening the door manually it closes and renders as closed. Really frustarating as I am only able to play with optifine, even though it only improves my speed by about 5-10 FPS it still makes a huge difference. Also getting the glitch where entities don't render after dying, I have lost several good items to this.
I've also been having those problems, but mostly just with liquids or gravity-affected blocks not updating properly. I'm also using it with the FTB pack, if that makes a difference.
OHHH YEAAAAH! I managed to fix the crash-causing conflicts with Optifine w/mipmaps enabled and thaumcraft3! So if any of you are playing thaumcraft and your guis go missing and you get crashes upon exiting the game, heres what to do:
Find the "burst.png" in the thaumcraft/resources directory located in the thaumcraft3 zip file. Scale it down to half size. Viola, thats all it takes.
Just installed this with Buildcraft and NEI. Went from about 125 FPS to around 600. All graphics fancy and 16x AA. I should go and see how much I can get max.
i dont suppose we could see a fix for optifine not reading ctm properties files for glass panes and iron fences in the next versions?
and maybe better glass from mcpatcher?

i have run into a small issue that when i put optifine in my feed the beast that when i break sugar cane when it is 3 block tall the top one will remain floating please help
For those having the block update problems with the ftb pack (floating torches after block is removed, beds only showing the bottom half when placed, water not disappearing after source block is removed) ive found that C2 doesn't have this problem so it may not be the newest but at least it makes the game playable till it gets fixed. i couldn't find a link for C2 anymore but if you just change 3 to a 2 in the download URL for C3 you can get it. hope this helps

thank you for this, because im using forge and forge isnt compatible with mcpatcher. All the texture packs i wanted to use need to be installed with mcpatcher, but this helped me install it while keeping forge.
Is their anyway you could make a super tiny view? Like only 1 chunk? When your building the interior of a room you don't need that much to render and it would probably give a huge fps boost if only 1 chunk (or a couple) was rendering. See I'm a builder. I build huge stuff but I play on a laptop. So I need optifine to play. I often find myself on tiny view while building things and have no need to look very far. I just change the render distance when I want to actually look at it from a distance. Just thought I'd throw this out there. It seems like a good idea but then again I don't code...
anyone having a problem where it takes a second for blocks to render after being pushed by pistons? sometimes the blocks appear to be in one place when they are really not or sometimes the block along with the piston pushing or pulling the block will completely disappear for a second. i can walk through the blocks that still appear to be there. using the C3 version. awesome mod otherwise.
Is there any ETA when voids will be fixed? They been around for a long time now and I'm pretty sure you know its your mod doing it. But I have not really seen progress on this yet.

Hello there, I was just wondering if you could make an optifine for the snapshot because my brother gets only 5 fps when optifined isn't installed, seriously! Also he doesn't want to backdate to 1.4.7 'cos he loves the snapshot (13w06a). Thanks!

nope, I have the same issue. I've tried going up and down the version list and nothing helps. some sort of conflict.

If by "voids" you mean those chunk-loading error canyons, I've gotten those without Optifine. I'm fairly certain they're caused by ChickenChunks.
