Exactly my story, though I ws only getting 15 before, 35 with OF and 10-12 now. Eh, good enough, right?
To everone who's going like "OMG OMG OMG OMG LAZY MOD MAKER Y U NO UPDATEZ!!!!!!", try updating it yourself, then SHUT THE HECK UP. Thank you for your consideration.

The "Update it yourself" thing is a bit overused, don'tcha think? And besides, some people REALLY need this mod to play, so I can't blame them. I can play withought it but it's annoying.
@tf2jake Okay, you're right. I didn't think to look back before this morning for people asking for and Optifine update for 1.3, since it hadn't even come out yet. I'm stopping my ****. I guess I still had faith in humanity to not have their lives depending on a video game. Unfortunately, it seems that the lives of quite a bit of Minecrafters depends on one person updating a mod. People, I guess, need to learn that a single day without a single video game is not the end of the world. Thanks for proving that people really are bitching about not having a mod, and pestering sp614x.
Why isn't Optifine a feature of vanilla minecraft yet?
Mojang and the creator of Optifine couldn't come to an agreement. From what I've heard it was something about how the latter party would basically have to quit his job and demanded some substantial financial compensation since they have a family to take care of.
I don't really think that's an excuse for Mojang, though. I mean they hired Minecraft Chick and she does absolutely nothing but annoy a good chunk of the community. You'd think hiring the Optifine guy would be a far, far better decision.

Java is bulky, slow, hogs resources, passes out from exhaustion, and although it was big in the 90's is now typically only found on poorly designed websites. Much like Harry Knowles. So any time Minecraft crashes, blame Java.
Love this mod. I make Minecraft videos and with out this mod I get about 30 fps on short render distance with it I get 30 fps on the same settings WHILE RECORDING. In short, this is the best mod I have ever used.
I feel tears rolling down my eyes, but I do not know if its because what you said its hilarious or really really sad. Mojang should really consider of coming to an agreement.. IF this wil be added in vanilla minecraft the game will be 10 to 200% better =p I really hope so.. aw well.
When did the post say he was working on an update? if it was today(or yesterday depending on what time zone your in, its still august 1st here) it's already about 60% done. so i think it might be done by like tommarrow

Am I the only one who thinks your name is very fitting to your post? Seriously, I find it's not productive to try to accurately predict something like this. Also, grammar is a nifty tool.
Lol, we all wish. I'm not very good with copyright or stuff like that, but I think that if the owner of Optifine dosn't know wont it be like stealing? I'm very stupid with this subject, lol
Well in the Minecraft Terms of Use it says that any mods can be put into the vanilla game without the creators permission.

Then its either that since its copyrighted that there are legal windows that would bring Mojang to a difficult position or that without sp614x they would not be able to make it work.

Maybe so, but I think they don't do it because that's kind of a **** move on their part.
"Hey, I know you spent 500 hours on this really awesome mod that probably took a lot of work, and we like it a lot, so we decided to add it to our game. Not only is your version of the mod now obsolete, we get more fanboy brownie points for adding this mod that a lot of people like. Oh, and we're not going to credit you for it at all nor give you any kind of monetary bonus for all your hard work".
Okay, slightly over-exaggerating, but you get the idea. ;P

that would suck i would sue for them taking my work without my perssion but since there in black and white it would kind of be pointless.

Do not accept something you do not want to accept. This kind of reminds me the Terms of use of windows. If you do not accept out terms - sorry no computer for you try the terms of use of another OS.

Needless to say, my computer sucks. Eagerly awaiting the update for 1.3.1...

And your sue wouldn't be accepted because in the ToU it says that Mojang is allowed to take your work without permission.
