Will the 1.2.5 version work with the 12w16a?

Gosh I love this mod, makes minecraft run a bit more smoother

Just donated!! I used to average around 30 FPS, but after Optifine I usually get 60 FPS. I can finally run HD texture packs without much lag, so this is my way of saying thanks!!

Anyone tried this with 12w16a/12w17a yet?

1-8 fps... set at low specs. I'm going to try standard.

Edit: Works so well! Unfortunately deleted some progress in my world, but it doesn't matter. I have about 30 fps now! Thank you! So smooth!

Surely it would be better for the mod to choose the cape based on the resolution of the texture pack?
Who would want a 256x cape with a 16x texture pack? It'd just look dumb.

Found a bug, with any of the Anti aliasing versions installed into Minecraft, Modloader loaded items(custom tools, food, etc) except placeble moded blocks, has no texture when held by the player, making you look like holding something invisible.

Really annoying bug with Optfine Multicore:

Don't know if its been mentioned before, but it annoys the hell out of me. Don't think I noticed it before using Optifine Standard.

Using Optifine HD A6 Multi-Core + AA. All blocks show white edge marks on any setting from 2-16 but only in the inventory. Otherwise zero white edges on blocks and items placed. When off the white edges go away completely. Also, my compass needle no longer shows up with this preview. Doesn't have anything to do with AA settings. Not a big deal since I don't use it, but noticed this with the new Optifine Preview.

Is the same happening with the normal AA edition (HD_A6_AA)?

I really would appreciate if you could make a 1.2.5 light version of optifine, I have a very slow computer and the 1.1 version helped a lot.

Yes.

Trying A7 AA as we speak. A7 AA, compass still has no needle. As well as A7 MT + AA

Trying others. Compass needle seems to work with any other version of Optifine except AA. Including MT + AA versions.

P.S. My frames barely moved with max AA and AF settings. Testing now to see if my graphics card settings may have an effect.

Well, apparently changing my card settings from application controlled to max AA and AF settings (I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 5870) has dimmed the white edge lines on all the blocks. Looking loads better I'll say. Figure out the white edge lines on all blocks and the compass needle and that's all I notice wrong/bugged with A7 MT + AA.

Edit: Decided just to link it instead of waiting for a response that I might miss. Here is the problem I'm having with lighting in water.

Can you post screenshot, texturepack, list of installed mods and error log?

Looks like the lighting bug which was introduced in Minecraft 1.2 with client side lighting calculations. It is not related to OptiFine.
