Also, a little request that I guess was never seen from a few pages back. Due to how a lot of the recent updates to Optifine are texturepack based, think it would be possible to build in the connected textures mod? Seeing how it's never been updated to 1.1?
Yes, I know what optiFine does. But can it be implemented in the server jar, so that the server can run smoothly.
You cannot implement OptiFine on a server because the server does not do any visual rendering. OptiFine only deals with the visual rendering of chunks, only the client does that.
How closely does optifine follow mcpatcher? Without optifine everything displays correctly, but when I install optifine I have things not being drawn. Like I only get the lid of the chest, monsters and animals missing parts etc.
Edit: working with it some more and the hd-c version seems to work correctly but the hd-s-c and hd-mt-c cause strange issues like the bottom half of the chest missing and mobs with parts missing and/or with strange textures on them.
It's telling me it's not compatible D; I don't have any mods that is listed on the first post and I don't have mcpatcher as well. What am I doing wrong?!?
Why is it I keep getting transparent block no matter on the Multi-Core version of Optifine? I've updated my java, I use 64 bit, and I followed the instructions "If you have problems with flashing or transparent blocks you can try:
A. Disable "Threaded Optimization" in the graphics card control panel (example)
B. Enable "Vertical Synchronization" in the graphics control panel or set the option Performance to VSync."
May this issue finally rest in peace. Just checked to see if the multi-core variant functions at 40,000 leagues over the sea and it seems to be working as intended. Thank you for your hard work. :smile.gif:
I dont know which Optifine, if any, is best for my computer. My comp stats are:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
640 MBs RAM
16MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra
Yes, I know it's an ancient piece of crap, but for getting the whole computer setup at a yardsale for $10, how could I pass up?
Standard edition. Light edition might be best if you can get it to work on that system.
Sadly at 10$ I think you mighta got ripped off. Did that 10$ include a monitor? 10$ for a 15"+ monitor isn't terrible, otherwise they probably should have paid you 5$ or so to haul it away.

It came with the tower, monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, and a printer. The printer was broken when we got home since apparently, my sister has some kind of container of wax that spilled into it on the ride home, but the rest worked fine. The monitor it came with: I dont quite recall what kind it was...
Hey there, i was just wondering do we have to wait until minecraft 1.2 for a new version of OptiFine? I was just wondering because it's incompatible with the current snapshot.

I think that this would be a very nice option to have! *crosses fingers*

Very good mod!
Keep the awsome work!

Nearly same specs as mine except I have 4 GB of RAM and I have a desktop lol.
Use the MT version, but before doing so, make sure you have multi-cores. You probably do. :biggrin.gif: (e.g Dual core)
I have a
CPU 0 and CPU 1
If you have a Pentium, it has Dual-core.

Funny because it DOESN'T work.

Or is there a simple solution I've missed?
