After MCP Updates, about how long will it take for Optifine for 1.0 to come out?
Probably not that long. 1.8 took a long time because it added a ton of new terrain generations, and this mod makes the game render everything in a better way, meaning that the 1.0.0 update may only take him 2-3 days to do.
Had a little accident with my computer and im now running 32 bit :/. Wouldn't be a problem if i didn't get 20 fps on far distance. T_T It drops to 17 or so which i can't stand playing on. I wanted to use Obtifine to fix this problem but i guess i can play on normal distance for now, since i don't want to lower the graphics at all. Hopefully this wont take forever, i hate playing on normal because the view distance is very little, its equivalent to optifines short render distance. :/ I hate 32 bit so much.
Hello sp614x and other people who is familiar with Minecraft's graphics engine,
Besides all of the 1.0.0 release requests and clamour, I have a problem which exists since 1.8. I'm sure, you've already heard that occasionally chests and other stuffs are extremely dark although they are illuminated with broad daylight. I have this problem too and I've tried to document this phenomenon.
First, this is my hardware and software setup:
Acer TravelMate 8472TG
Intel Core i3-350M with the integrated graphics processor Intel HD Graphics
Win 7 64-bits
Graphics Driver version: 8.15.10.2104
Java x64 1.7.01
LWJGL 2.8.2
I know that the driver is two years old, but I can't update it since my laptop uses a proprietary switchable graphics which requires a modified driver. And Acer hasn't released a newer version so I'm stuck with a two years old driver.
I have this issue too, here are the specs on my laptop
OS: Windows 7 32bit HP EliteBook
CPU: Intel Core i5
Graphics: None
I even didn't think about that when I wrote my message... Some people are even more twisted than I am, and that can't be a good sign for Humanity!! :tongue.gif:
So, two very common mods for multiplayer (major server allowed) are Convenient Inventory and Improved Chat, both of which are not listed on your compatibility list. I'm pretty sure I've tried the combination before and it failed to give me certain aspects but I dont remember exactly so I was hoping you could label those.
Also, since Optifine requires you not to use MCPatcher, does it support the new ability to generate random mobs and moving textures? Or is there a certain version of Optifine we can use with MCPatcher?
The Minecraft community in general isn't about "respecting and caring" either. It largely consists of narcissistic children who disregard those other than themselves and like to spout anger, abuse, troll and flame. It is also why any competent multiplayer builder either owns a private server or one where build allowance requires in-depth vetting. If Minecraft was about "respecting and caring" these measures would clearly not be necessary.

I also had the same problem but I think it was a bug in the new lighting system for Minecraft when 1.8 came since for me anyways but in 1.7 it didn't go dark on the chests or anything. It does not do it to me anymore but I just thought of expressing what I saw with this annoying bug.
OMG I can't play Minecraft without OptiFine, my laptop sucks WAY too much. Minecraft Coder Pack needs to hurry up, I don't care how busy they are, they aren't busy enough /:

you can try the free gamebooster 3, although it made my old acer laptop overheat when on so just take that into account, also play in fullscreen mode with f11

Tell me about it bro I'm in the same boat. But one thing that I do is go to task manager and set the Java platform SE Binary priority to high, it helps me a ton. And put it on High Performance of course.

Still for 1.8.1
MCP stands for Minecraft Coder Pack (not the MCPatcher tool). Google "Minecraft Coder Pack" if you want to know more.
As long as it takes. sp614x is usually pretty quick on these things though. But, be patient. Let him work out the bugs etc.
Per the original post (and many posts throughout the thread), sometime after the MCP updates.
