i cant get the 1.12_HD_U_C2 to work with minecraft using the Twitch client (formerly Curse client) in 1.11.2 all i had to do was drop the mod in to the mods folder but now it just gives me errors. previous posters mentioned having to extracting it. but even the file that extracting produces wont run with minecraft launched with the twitch client.

When you're extracting it, you're not opening it with winrar and extracting it that way are you?
Run the .jar file, as if you were going to install it normally, and then click extract.
Put that file in the mods folder.

OptiFine is compatible with Forge #2331.
Currently Forge is in the process of rewriting the registry and it is unstable.

Apologies if this has been asked before but is the Optifine source available in GitHub/elsewhere? Just curious if community is able to generate builds or not.
Apologies if this has been asked before but is the Optifine source available in GitHub/elsewhere? Just curious if community is able to generate builds or not.
I'm making a minecraft modpack for my youtube channel and I want to use this mod because I hear it's absolutely amazing and makes the best graphics in minecraft. Am I allowed to use this, and if I am, are there any specific rules? Thx!!!
Hello, 1.12 version of optifine do not work at all. It keep crashing upon pressing play in the minecraft launcher. I cannot get a game output from the launcher because of this . I've tried restarting my pc, switching from C3 to C2, installing latest drivers. Nothing works at all.
System specs :
I7-4770K
EVGA GTX 1070 8 GB of VRAM (Founders Edition)
16 GB of DDR3 Ram
Windows 10 (64 bit)
GeForce Driver 384.76
2 TB HDD (Currently 700 gb of free space on my pc atm)
This is presumably left in from when you had to quit to the main menu to change packs, hence the use of the language "Texture packs"
Why are you bothering with Magic launcher to install it? You don't need to use it for Optifine because Optifine's installer does it for you.
Just click the "extract" button.
i cant get the 1.12_HD_U_C2 to work with minecraft using the Twitch client (formerly Curse client) in 1.11.2 all i had to do was drop the mod in to the mods folder but now it just gives me errors. previous posters mentioned having to extracting it. but even the file that extracting produces wont run with minecraft launched with the twitch client.

The last version of Forge which works with OF is #2347.
#2348 started mentioned registry rewriting and... you know...
Regards.
thanks that version works.
Optifine is currently compatible, but not recommended to be ran with forge 2362.
Apologies if this has been asked before but is the Optifine source available in GitHub/elsewhere? Just curious if community is able to generate builds or not.
no, to my knowledge optifine is not open source.
