This used to work a few months ago. But now when I try to use it, as soon as I launch the game, the game shuts off with no error message. What's going on? I just did a clean reinstall of Minecraft, but its still happening. Any ideas?
I can see my optifine cape but other people can't see it. I've tried relogging Re installing minecraft changing cape designs and everything. I need help.
Oh and why does the mojang symbol not work on capes anymore?
I downloaded Optifine HD Ultra F3 for Minecraft 1.8.8 and put the JAR file in the mods folder, but whenever I try to use the Forge profile with Optifine in the mods folder, it doesn't load. The launcher disappears, and the game doesn't pop up.

I made some glass doors (replaced of a wood door with glass textures) however when Optifine is active, the glass door is now all black.
What causes that and how do I either fix my glass door textures or turn off something in Optifine to stop making my glass doors black. The glass blocks that i use are still transparent glass blocks, it's only my glass doors which are basically the glass block textures pasted into the space of whatever wood doors I was using.

Make sure the transparent pixels are fully transparent (alpha 0). A door can not render semi-transparent textures (stained glass).

Is that only optifine?
I was indeed using the texture from a stained glass to make the door and it worked fine until I installed Optifine. They were just a slight tint of gray/black to them but they were fully transparent, and after installing Optifine they are completely black. Now that I've removed optifine they are back to being transparent again.
So I'm guessing, that is a limitation of Optifine?

Hello, I'm using the new Optifine 1.8.8 HD F3 Ultra and was wondering whether there is a current known issue with the compass. When I made a compass with this version of Optifine, it just spins continually (overworld). Thanks for responding and sorry if this is an easy fix my end :-)
Who thinks optifine should add a minecon cape option (if you have one) and an optifine cape option (if you have one) so you can alternate between capes.
And the new internal shader system suffers from the exact same bug as the GLSL mod on 1.8, except this time it's a black screen vs a white screen, still the same GL exceptions though...
Is it possible to get the source code so I can fix this myself? I'd prefer not to go the deob-decomp route especially considering that'll also involve manually reversing the GL flag optimisation...

The blocks on the second row don't work, even with fast render off.

Doors can not render semi-transparent textures (stained glass).
Any pixels with alpha > 10% are shown as opaque.
Vanilla works identically, but the threshold is probably 50%.

Can you make it so fast render works with shaders? It worked with optifine HD U2 for 1.8.0 and shaders mod! Please!
