Hi guys, first off, congratz on the mod, it's really amazing

Now I have a little suggestion, and I'm pretty sure some others have pointed out; the main post is kind of confusing (really confusing for me) It would be easier to understand by organizing the stuff, something like, an introductory note, then a "news" paragraph, then an "explanation" of each version and their acronyms with the previews, followed by the download links, and then the installation instructions.

Something along those lines, or any other way to make things easier to read, will be greatly appreciated :3

is there any way to enable far loading while in motion, or is optifine/minecraft just not capable of this? something I've noticed since after the internal server update, terrain doesn't render at all while you're moving, like dynamic chunk loading taken to the worst possible extreme (force more chunks while standing still, load next to nothing while in motion). this is insanely annoying when moving fast in any way (boat, flying, minecarts, whatever), since you have to stop just to see what's ahead of you.

it's very concise if you stop to read the words, instead of just scanning for pictures or bold text that tells you what to do. there's no way you can figure this out on your own, unless you read what it says.

he tried at some point to consolidate all the versions into just one that included all the settings (that's exactly what ultra is), but people for some reason just refused to think for themselves what settings to enable for their pc. so, back to this mess of pointless versions.

I love optifine mod and its so awsome but using the 1.4.5 best one my fps get stuck at 5. can anyone help me, id like to know how to fix it. for now though i think ill just downgrade optifine to an older version of it

Does optifine work with Feed the Beast?

Optifine does not seem to be loading the config for FPS Cap. Running version "OptiFine HD D8 Ultra" with Forge 488. Changing FPS Cap in options modifies the optifine options file right. However when you start up minecraft it changes the config back to 5 FPS Cap. It is happening with all the users on my teamspeak server currently. (7 People)

Where do i get forge #445?

Hello there! It seems I am having trouble installing this and forge, I'm guessing it is incompatible? Can you please fix this as soon as you can?

I notice that this mod is used in nearly every modpack I've seen. I'm thinking about starting a modpack, probably won't even get permission from some of the other intended mods, do you mind if I use this mod?

Despite the large number of mods I have installed, I believe this issue to be related to Optifine alone.
Already the reason I updated was to escape a crashbug, and I've hit yet another wall. Please help! I'm trying to work on a soundpack and my Minecraft is broken as The Nether!

I think I may have screwed something up somewhere! I was messing around with installing mods for the first time, but I decided to start over fresh so to speak because I feel like I was just complicating things.

Now I can't seem to install Optifine, and right now I feel like I really need it because for some reason I don't understand my Minecraft has started to lag a lot! I've never experienced major lag issues until the last few days, I wonder if it could be related to the most recent Java update? Anyway, now when I try to run Minecraft with Optifine, I get this error on start-up:



I don't have any other mods installed and Minecraft still runs just fine unmodded (aside from the lag, which I don't think is related to anything I did). What did I screw up?

Also, previous to this, I had been running Optifine with no problems for months, so I know it was something to do with my jar file.

Will optfine be avalible with modloader soon?
