I'm not sure if this issue is happening with everybody, but whenever I install this mod (from a fresh Minecraft install) and when I start walking and mining at the same time my character stops moving. It is very frustrating trying to build something.

It seems like no matter what i do i keep getting the same FPS rate with the mod and without, is there something im doing wrong?
are you in window mode [maximized or default size] or are you in fullscreen mode? I know for me (I just found this out by testing) that if I was in either fullscreen mode or in window mode default size my FPS would stay at a nice 120+ but as soon as I maximized the playing window my FPS would drop down and stay at 60 even if I had the Vsync off or on.
well i play mostly on fullscreen and i tunred all the settings to fast but no changes and i wish i had those FPS and no its on Max FPS
Ok. What version is your java. java 6 or java 7?

Tips and tricks:
1. Download the latest Java 7 builds from here: http://download.java.net/jdk7/. Minecraft should run much smoother with less lag spikes. It really helps. 2. Set the Java process to higher priority 3. Set "Limit framerate" to Max FPS. The limiter is so implemented that it always decreases the FPS. 4. Update LWJGL from here. 5. Lauch Minecraft with less memory (yes, really). Usually it does not need more than 350 MB and runs fine on all settings with the default texture pack. By default java allocates way too much memory (1GB) which may get swapped to disk and the overall performance may suffer a lot. To start Minecraft with less memory:
It says its compatible with forge which i have and i got a fresh new .jar and installed everything correctly and it didnt work is it meant to go in core mods or i am just being dumb? please help

Sounds like you updated LWJGL to 2.8.5! This hapened to me too. There was a fix released somewhere, but I just installed 2.8.4 instead.
I'm still getting the same disappointing results in HD_U_D5 that I was getting in HD_U_D4. I don't have this problem in HD_U_D3, nor do the chunks flicker, so it's not that "threaded optimisation" issue. I can't even find a setting for that in the AMD Catalyst driver settings. Turning off multi-core chunk loading didn't fix it either.
Detail of problem: whenever I change a graphical setting or switch texture packs, all of the chunks within a certain radius of me turn invisible. The only way to fix this is to not change a graphical setting, and I often find myself changing settings during gameplay, so it's very annoying.
Details:
Intel Core i5 3570k @ 4 GHz
8GB G.Skill 1600MHz RAM
XFX Radeon HD 7870 Black Edition 2GB GDDR5
Windows 8 Pro x64
Java 7 update 9 x64
LWJGL 2.8.4 (I know a newer version exists, but it breaks Minecraft so I had to rollback to 2.8.4)
I have noticed some strangeness in this new version HD_U_D4 that did not exist in HD_U_D3. I use buildcraft, forestry, and IC2. I have noticed that a lot of times that the pipes from buildcraft will go invisible. You can't even see the items in them. Everything runs fine, you just do not see the pipes. Various forestry machines will also go invisible. However I have never seen any industrial craft machines or wiring going invisible. The only thing that I had updated since this started happening is to move to the newer version of optifine.
The reason I did this is that I sometimes see weird lines coming off some items, like spruce saplings. Another effect is that some blocks have a very thin red outline. You can see this in the rubber trees from Industrial craft. Each block of wood that makes up the tree has a very thin red outline.
Well as a long time lover of optifine I've had to just stop using it. I do not gain noticeable fps anymore, and I get a lot of graphical glitches including: bad models for mobs, torn chunks, blocks not rendering, slow loading etc. It's probably just my machine/config but ever since 1.4.x i just haven't had good luck

Optifine is completely useless to anybody with a half decent computer and it causes more problems than it solves. The only people that even get an fps boost are the ones that completely strip the game of everything it has.
Optifine can also be used to improve the graphics.
It can be used to do vertical sync graphics.
And, the customizable display range, so I can get exactly the display range that my computer can handle (my smaller machine loves short+32, and that's good enough for 95% of my playing).
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
D3 Ultra, set to smooth chunk loading, fails to be smooth (lots of zero FPS) when in a Mystcraft age with spreading white decay.
Turning off the decay spread solves this until I move around; then, since it's an extreme jungle (EBXL; think extreme hills with a jungle on top) I am again getting lots of zero FPS.
None of the newer ultras are compatible with mystcraft.
The newer standards are, but standard doesn't give me smooth.
And right now optifine is preventing me from upgrading forge. (I know that one will resolve soon enough :-).
Potentially relevant config:
1. Render distance: normal + 16 (matches server view distance of 10)
2. Performance: Power saver
3. Performance tab: Dynamic updates on, chunk updates per frame 2.

Did you mention that it's the only way to play Industrialcraft (and its various add-ons,) Buildcraft, Railcraft, Forestry, Factorization, Thaumcraft, NotEnoughItems, Ender Storage, ExtraBiomesXL, EE3, GregTech (though it deserved to be set apart from the other IC2 add-ons,) Iron Chests, Mystcraft, Thermal Expansion, Steve's Carts, The Twilight Forest, and Balkon's Weapon Mod properly with HD texture packs?
Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

have you tried any of the tips and tricks from the OP on page 1
Try quitting all applications when you play Minecraft, that helps a lot.
Or you can try toning down the smooth lighting or the render distance.
