Awesome mobs, love the spiked parabuzzies. I'll suggest some more mobs for the future:
Piranha plant. Spawns in forest and swamp areas, stationary, but attacks anything that comes within 1 block of it. Its head is the weak point.
Giant Piranha plant. Spawns only in swamps, stationary, but can reach up to 6 blocks away from it and deals a lot of damage. Arrows bounce off it, so something like TNT must be used. Drops vines to use for crafting rope or vine ladders or something.
Scuttle Bug. Spawns at night just about anywhere. Jumps very high and attempts to land on the player, basically like a vertical-jumping spider.
Boo. Spawns in caves, will only attack and move when player is not looking at it.
Flipbug. Spawns on trees, and hovers over to attack the player. Drops mushrooms.
Electrogoomba. Shoots rocks at the player and jumps around. When killed, it will drop one of these rocks. The rock can be placed as a physics object, and if it gets enough speed, it can crush mobs.
Swooper. Flies around in caves, can be shot down with arrows.
Wiggler. Spawns in forests as a neutral mob. Touching it or attacking it will make the wiggler angry. To defeat it, jump on it twice.
But how can you not be doin the epic Goombas?!?!?! They are the very staple of the Mario Bad guys after all! XD
But really, If you don't wanna do em thats fine too~
Maybe for your next one after the Shy guy you could try to make... That Piggeh from the Legend of Zelda, Forgot its name though, What was it again? The pigs that spit things >_>

I think you need to work on your animating a bit for the shy guy, all it does right now is just barely move its feet, from ive seen from the mario games shy-guys seem to be very carefree, imo, they should run leaning back a little with there arms back, kinda like Ed from ed ed and eddy. Ill show you (of course they wont run like a retard but you get the idea.)
Ha! Easier said than done, man. Minecraft's mobs aren't very flexible.

Thanks! Those are my favorite anyway. If you could wanted to do 2 others, you should do the Wiggler and Electrogoomba. (if not the strange rock suggestion I made for that mob.)
I honestly think they'd be a perfect addition to your mob pack; after all, they're pretty underrated Mario 2 enemies. I could imagine them being passive, because all they do is jump up and down.

There will not likely be any incompatibilities with this, since Ginno uses custom .class names.
There are a few mods that are incompatible with ModLoader, though (and that is one of the requirements for this mod to work :3), so those will be cause this to not work. But no, no mod is directly incompatible with Ginno's mobs :biggrin.gif:
Also, I can't think of a mod out there that's incompatible with AudioMod (the other requirement for 8Bit's Mobs), but any incompatibility with that, also breaks this mod.

Are you on Peaceful? Parabuzzies extends EntityMobs (in other words, they are considered monsters), so they will only spawn if the difficulty is Easy or higher.
Not all of the Parabuzzies are rare, but the "least rare" of them, are still somewhat hard to find :S

I love the bob-ombs! with them i have something like an army of creepers! i would wear them all on my head, and when duty calls or i need to go in somewhere, i will plop them all off, and they would attack!

Probably pretty much as soon as MCP releases an update for 1.5 as well.

Here are my plans so far:
I plan for them to be a somewhat rare trader mob. You see one, and you know you (possibly) hit the jackpot! I might make the goods dependent on the color type. I was thinking Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow give simple good stuff like Iron armors, tools, weps, food, maybe a diamond when you trade with them. And if you happen across a White or Black, you know there's possibility for some really good stuff! I imagine the Black one to be somewhat dangerous, but worthwhile, to trade with though. I'm not sure how. Ideas? But the White one! You know you're in for some goods like diamond tools, armor, weapons, higher end food like cake, apples, and cookies. There will be a limit to how many times you can trade with a Shy Guy though.
As for what to trade.. I was thinking somehow they can be picky about what they want. I don't know if it's possible, but I was thinking that when you get within range of a Shy Guy, the game scans your current inventory and randomly chooses 3 items. These are what the Shy Guy will want to trade for. All you would have to do is show him the item in your hand. Maybe he'll react such as saying something like "<Shy Guy> ..!" and you know he wants what's in your hand. After trading a certain amount of times, you'll probably get a message like "The Shy Guy no longer seems interested." and can't trade anymore.
Now, I also was thinking about having them try to steal an item from you! But I'm not sure how. They are rather timid creatures, so to have them charge you on sight is kind of weird, and you wouldn't be able to trade. And when under attack, they randomly drop a Bob-omb that targets you, to prevent players attacking? Since they aren't really animals that you're supposed to hunt down.
You wear it like a helmet (in the slot on your inventory screen)
And when you see shy guys while wearing the mask, they follow you.
Yes to the possibility of getting a mask. Maybe as a super rare trade item. Maybe even rarely when killed, but it'd be hard to kill them, as they are sneaky, dangerous devils! Not the best HP though.

I just wanted to say that these are, by far, the coolest custom mobs I've seen yet.
