Optifine has a risk of conflict with Ugocraft's Terrain Renderer. MCPatcher too.
This MOD is excellent in that it need not modify the inside of the "minecraft.jar".
So I want that this MOD will be updated.
Does anybody know if CTM will work with blocks added by other mods? I'd like to do a randomized stone textures for terrafirmacraft. When I try to set it up the blocks are invsible with CTM turned on. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21315217/2012-11-15_14.11.40.png

I actually found it out from... somewhere. I forget.
But here's how it goes:
block____.properties uses the item ID, for reskinning or adding animation to items and such. List is found here
terrain____.properties uses the Texture's id, as seen in the texturepack's terrain.png, starting from 0 and incrementing left-to-right then top-to-bottom, like so:

and so on and so forth
terrain___.properties files work by triggering whenever that texture ID is called. For instance, if you use terrain0.png, then grass tops will be reskinned according to the rules you list in the file.
You can add as many .png files as you need to reskin however much you want, and you specify which .png file and which textures to use within the *.properties file.
Looking at the new format for textures (in the 1.5 snapshot), each texture is now its own individual file.
I wonder what the future is for CTM.
I imagine that your , "Block###.properties" will remain unaffected.
But the terrain.png file is now irrelevant since it is being replaced by a folder filled with each individual terrain block.
All Connected Texture packs containing "Terrain###.properties" will most likely have to be re-writen to fit the new 1.5 format.
Is there any way to set up a extended bookcase? The current horizontal code only supports one left, a middle, one right, and a single block. Would it be possible to have more than one middle block texture?
