this seems great for redstone traps! I tried making a dungeon thing on one server and making a lava trap was difficult and involved TNT. Now I can just use this and remove the noise so that they are not alarmed and make it deadlier. Also, could you possibly make a crushing trap with them? Have the person die from being crushed? That would be entertaining watching people get stuck in. (I am too lazy to put this in my 1.4 jar so I will just wait until you or Jeb can fix it I guess)

OK, I've looked at the bug, and at the source code, and must face the painful truth: I have no idea why the mod isn't working. It should be compatible with 1.4_01, but the issue with the block being impossible to destroy, but the player still colliding with it, seems to be more of an engine bug. There's nothing in my code to cause it, so I think something in the update fundamentally changed how entities work. That doesn't really make sense, but it's the best guess I have.
Anyway, Jeb has the source code, so the next time this mod will work might be when it is implemented in the game.

A suggestion that I'd like to see (Also is a nice concept for other mods) would be for it to detect the Meta-Data (Power Range) of the Redstone just before it and use that to determine the distance that it opens.
Basically, since the power level of RedStone (The shades up to 15 away from source) are stored and read from the Meta-Data of each Redstone piece, have that determine how many Blocks or Half Blocks (Half Blocks wouldn't really work though) the piston extends. Maybe just have it where every 5th RedStone Meta-Data it extends another Block so it goes 0-5 from source = 3 blocks, 6-10 from source it extends 2 blocks, 11-15 from source it extends 1 block.

doing that would make building contraptions and things alot harder
i think i have found another bug now i dont know if this is only for me but every (yes every) time i use the piston it will work the first time but then nothing after as in it i cant go through it turn in use it or anything it wont even let me select it like i cant build on top of it.
i hope the mod creator comes across this post because i really want to use this mod to its full potential.

Well from i got from the Aether modders is that the code changes a little bit or something about the files change? Then you have to figure out what is coded to what now or something. Ill try and find what they said in a second.

[Every time the game updates, the obfuscation for the game changes and all mods need to be rewritten and recompiled. If you decompile the game, you see a mess of
fj.b(i).c(1),d()
The "translation" changes every time, so every time the game updates, everyone needs to figure out the new class and method names.]
So the translation changed and class files and method names changes etc. In case you didn't know. I hope I was helpful!
I can't tell if your sarcasm is really meant... or your actually just that much of a troll... either way its being added before or after 1.5 (i say before because they say its not being added IN 1.5 therefore it COULD be before :wink.gif: )
