Also none of the villagers in this village (the center of a Gros bourg) seem to be "chatting" anymore. The villagers in the nearby hamlets still do.
Is there any way to get more diplomatic points to spend at a time? Or future plans for a way to get more? So many villages, so many bad relations... Can't we all just get along?
Unfortunately it didn't work. They just stay in the fort until it's time to sleep and first thing they do when they wake up is come to the fort and repeat.
What are they saying when they do?
Does the error log text file say anything?
Is there any way to get more diplomatic points to spend at a time? Or future plans for a way to get more? So many villages, so many bad relations... Can't we all just get along?
This! It makes it difficult to explore too much, too quickly, because if you discover, say, a dozen villages, that's 12*11/2 == 66 pairs, with most of those relationships in the negative numbers and getting lower. The only way to prevent this is to explore very slowly, taking the time to bring each new villiage's relationship up with the others, which is fine sometimes, but other times that's not what you want. If you want to explore a lot and set up a trade route, rather than sitting in one villiage from the time you discover it until they decide you're one of us, then everybody is going to be at war all the time.
Hello, I am having issues trying to get this mod to work.
In magic launcher, under the Millenaire 4.8.0.zip file, it says 'no mods found'.
Do you know how to solve this issue?
I don't use 'magic launcher' but with regular install you have to OPEN the .zip file and drag ALL 3 file folders to the mods folder.try clicking on the file till you get to the 3 file folders. good luck...:)
Thanks, but I did do that.
Inside the parent zip "Millenaire 4.8.0.zip" there is a folder named "put in mods folder" and inside this folder are the 3 files you're talking about. One of these is a zip file called millenaire 4.8.0.zip, and this is the file magic launcher does not properly detect as having a mod inside of it.
Hey dudes, first I love the work you've done on this mod so far and awsome job on the builds, textures and custom items. With that said I have a theory on the inviso villagers. Might be a distance/despawn issue like most hostle mobs , but the main functions they do are still active because the game is attempting to keep the whole town active within 200m so they're there and yet not at the same time.
... just a thought
Then the'res the merchants that horded all the weapons continueously. When no other weapons are available or smith hasn't forged any, then stand at town hall dropping and picking up their weapon constantly, noticed in mayan and japanese cultures. Idk if u fixed that yet.

You can always kill a village with a wand of negation.

Do you know how to solve this issue?
Magic Launcher just says that. The mod still loads and works perfectly for me. Have you actually tried playing it yet? Try running Minecraft then click the "Mods" button at the splash screen. It should have Millenaire listed there as loaded.
Does the archer tag for villagers check for arrows and bow or can I use it with any ranged weapon from other mods that do their action on a right click?
HELP. i'm using the launcher and its not finding the most recent forge. iv tried all three downloads (java, universal, and the other one) and its not excepting either one even when i manually click them in the find file option. what do i do?

Every time I return from the Wyvern Lair I crash. It only happens when returning.

I agree with sirdave79 about that roman town hall. The forums seem unused and also storage is way too small and main chiefs house feels incomplete and empty.
Why do merchants at the inn always take all the swords in mayan and japanese towns too? then glitch their own weapon in and out of the townhall storage when there are no more to take( until the forge makes more or player sells/gives some)
Thanks. Went through those steps as best I could (I run a dedicated server) to no effect.

Oh it is a server?
That is different then.
For this you will have to be SURE that everyone is using the same versions of the mods in the server and that everyone does that step by step thing I linked you to before.
Also, give everyone (including the server runner) the link on the wiki for how to install Millenaire, it has helpful steps for server installing too.

--- END ERROR REPORT bbfa63a ----------
It seems like an id conflict with the slot 1525, which is used by millenaire for the decorative slab. I already had posted that error log in the Custom NPC thread, but I think because of there are only two persons developping that mod, that they dont have enough time to fix something little like that.
Personally, I decompiled both files with the conflict objects, but its quite a long time ago that I had to work with java and I dont have the time to get used to both source codes.
I would be thankfull, if that little conflict could be solved with the next update, because both mods are very good tools to create adventure maps, the NPC for a static adventure, while the millenaire npc villages give an opportunity for an open world component.
sincerely yours
justakick
If the issue is only ID conflicts, you change that yourself.
Does anyone have the problem where all the villagers just congregate in area and dont seem to do anything all day. Then they go sleep and just walk and congregate at the same place in the morning? Anyone know how i can fix that?
They are chatting, it is a new feature, they are supposed to only chat when there is nothing else for them to do.
It replaced the resting, tons of people complained that everyone was resting all the time and never doing anything so Kinn gave them something to do.
I'm getting that Rendering Entity (Millenaire) crash too:
- When returning from the Nether
- When it starts raining
- When a new village spawns
- When my external HDD spins up
So my guess is it's not really a Millenaire thing
Question to all those getting this crash - are you running on slow/old hardware?
The workaround I've found works 90% of the time - before going through a portal, press escape and wait 15-30 seconds for your machine to do whatever it needs to then proceed. New village spawns are a bit trickier but if you keep pressing 'v' you'll know a village is trying to spawn because no message appears. At that point press escape and wait for the terrain to fully load.
The well in a Norman Gros bourg.
What are they saying when they do?
Does the error log text file say anything?
player.me/felinoel
I don't use 'magic launcher' but with regular install you have to OPEN the .zip file and drag ALL 3 file folders to the mods folder.try clicking on the file till you get to the 3 file folders. good luck...:)
you are putting ALL 3 Folders in, right?
... just a thought
Then the'res the merchants that horded all the weapons continueously. When no other weapons are available or smith hasn't forged any, then stand at town hall dropping and picking up their weapon constantly, noticed in mayan and japanese cultures. Idk if u fixed that yet.
You can always kill a village with a wand of negation.
player.me/felinoel
Magic Launcher just says that. The mod still loads and works perfectly for me. Have you actually tried playing it yet? Try running Minecraft then click the "Mods" button at the splash screen. It should have Millenaire listed there as loaded.
(i'm sorry if you replied to my previous posts i'm not getting emails about them and i cant find replies when i scan most recent posts)
whoever helps gets some s
Error Log says nothing wrong has happen and they keep switching back and forth from "Delivering Resources" to "Getting Building Materials".
I will third this.

The launcher is apparently designed for Mac, just use the Wiki if you have trouble installing Millenaire.
Really?! The error log text file says nothing?!
...mine never says nothing...?
Are you looking in the right place?

Thanks. Went through those steps as best I could (I run a dedicated server) to no effect.
Some more info:
We are updating from Millenaire 4.6.7...will that have anything to do with it? Should I upgrade to the 4.7 first?
Creating a new world (both through client or a new seed/world on the server) does not seem to cause this error.
Putting the server's world file into a (new, clean instance) single player saves folder DOES cause the error.
Even more info...the ForgeModLoader client log has many (11) repeats of this before the final crash:

Why do merchants at the inn always take all the swords in mayan and japanese towns too? then glitch their own weapon in and out of the townhall storage when there are no more to take( until the forge makes more or player sells/gives some)
Oh it is a server?
That is different then.
For this you will have to be SURE that everyone is using the same versions of the mods in the server and that everyone does that step by step thing I linked you to before.
Also, give everyone (including the server runner) the link on the wiki for how to install Millenaire, it has helpful steps for server installing too.
Sounds like an old bug, what version are you running?
If the issue is only ID conflicts, you change that yourself.

I'm using version 4.8.0 the latest
