I have a few recommendations for this mod after playing it for a while. Since I (and I believe most people) live close to a village since its fun to watch it grow, build, etc. I was thinking there should be a few more things the player can do.
1)Before the player can do any of these things below, he must join the town. (type a command or something thats for the modders)
2) Be able to marry. Your wife would act similiar to a wolf but more productive, following you to help work with you when you want her to or staying at home. You could produce children as well
3)your job would not be specific like the others. You would be a jack of all trades basicly.
Thats all for that section
Other recommendations:
1)The human npcs should not respawn after death. That way the player can attack a rival village etc.
2)A village should have a sign saying what villages it is aware of and what villages are its enemies. You can get money buy killing and halting production in the enemy villages.
3)Since villages may become ghost towns because of this, eventually nearby villages may be able to take some of the old buildings for themselves.
Thats what I have. I hope you can incorporate at least some of these ideas. Thank you.
you could add to that: Be able to go off with some villagers and start a new one where you will be the mayor and choose where they would place the buildings and all that...
P.S. Nice ideas
Thanks I hope the maker of this mod thinks so too. And yes I was thinking that idea as well.
So it's some kind of new-style ModLoader? The problem if I get it right is that using it would break compatibility with ML mods, which are most of them right now. I doubt it's worth it for now.
I wouldn't worry about that, MinecraftForge and ModLoaderMP work fine. I'm using Redpower on my server, it requires the use of both.
would it be possible for you to, with their permission of course :smile.gif: make a version of the game that allows the NPCs to use blocks from Keavator's mods (slopes, hedges, woodframes, etc) and Kalin_Magus's Better blocks mod Slopes Betterblocks
it would definitely increase the value of the mod :smile.gif:

It was already decided after seeing these 2 mods together added too much of a "modern" look to millenaire. After all, this is set in the 11th century. you can however make any alterations to any fully upgraded buildings you like. It is your world, feel free to do whatever you like :wink.gif:
I'm having trouble with this great mod unfortunately. It seems that after a village has built a few new buildings or after a certain amount of 'Minecraft Days' I get big lag spikes every 15 or so seconds, is there anything that can be done? I have tried the binary pathing but to no avail...
Same problem here, I've noticed it's only when they are waiting for resources, when they are building everything is fine, as soon as they finish the lag starts again. Also leaving the area won't fix it as the wiki claims.
Having a little something strange happen when I log into a game.
First off all, I have ModLoader, ModOptions, Nature Overhaul, Single Player Commands, Seasons and Millenaire all installed. These were all working harmoniously until I downloaded the save placing you in the pre-rendered Earth map (the one in resemblance to the actual Earth, the massive one) in which case dirt blocks with grass on top began a sort of "glitch" in which the grass lining the sides would turn one half light green and the other half dark; a sort of checker pattern.
Also, when plants grew- the left side of its image shows up as a dark green block.
I uninstalled Millenaire and the problem corrected itself. The game itself is playable, there's just that texture issue that sort of stumped me.
Befuddled me. Curious if anyone else was having these issues and if there was a fix for it.
since there is german and russian translations, can i translate it to tagalog? (filipino language) ;D
Sure! In fact an other player has also offered to make a tagalog translation: Raydev. Maybe you can PM him so you can share the work?

You are welcome to PM-me, but I'm unable to reply to everyone.

Amazing mod, Is there any chance you can add the option to ask the leader of the village to remove your plot of land, they built a mansion but i want to get rid of it so i can just buy a large plot of land to make a wizards tower, Also are you planning on adding any more cultures like French or Chinese villages?

I just stopped in to say, this is the best single player mod I've used in a while. Thank you for your hard work and dedicated updates. I do have a question though, what is the possibility to add randomly spawned nomadic npcs that can travel between villages as traders, or as random people moving from town to town? I'm curious because I haven't seen NPC+ around, and I was wanting to see if the two are compatible.
I already posted this but people have liked my comment so I hope you like my idea Kinnekin.

that would be a problem since often the villagers/builders jump from pretty high distances especially in the fully upgraded indian village
Okay thanks a bunch ^^ i want my house >=) lol
