If you're here,it means you have internet,so go and download the --->FREE<--- winrar program, which takes about 2 seconds, and I think uploading the minecraft.jar is illegal.
I don't understand how you don't have the resources! WinRar is free first off and an easy download. If you can't download it due to computer restrictions, how are you able to download mods? Or minecraft at all? That makes no sense. At all.
Edit: And Mac comes with it's own Archive utility ALREADY! =| Not to mention there are a couple good free Zip / Archive programs out there. I personally use Stuffit - which is also FREE.
First I would like to thank the team who is working on this mod. It is awesome, and I love to see the new features each time install new versions.
Bug I have a big problem : LAG
I played in 0.5.5, I get a freeze every 30sec
On 0.7.1 and 0.7.5 I get no problem, so I played a lot with this versions
Now, on the 0.8.5, I have a lot of lag. I timed it, I get a freeze every 10sec ... I can't play this way :sad.gif:
I have a processor [email protected] which get no problem on Minecraft (~100fps), but I get this terrible lag every 10 seconds with Millenaire :sad.gif:
I tried to install OptiFog, but nothing change.
I read some page of this topic, but didn't found any solution.
Please, help me
Merci beaucoup :wink.gif:
I have noticed these same things. Current version has a hiccup every 10 seconds or so. I've run it with binary pathing on, no difference. Really makes the mod unplayable :sad.gif:
Has anyone else had any success with curing the stuttering? My game runs fine otherwise and always has.
Note also that I am currently on leave, so there will be no update to Millénaire until late July. Sadly, that includes any update needed to restore compatibility with Minecraft should it be updated while I'm gone...

It's not true that my ideas can cause injury, people just implement them wrong.
Not only that, WinZip and 7zip are free. The only resources or access problems will be downloading.
While Winzip is "free" to download, it is time-limited and leaves a crumb trail on your computer that is hard to eradicate. It also had notices and other stuff trying to encourage you to upgrade to the "full version". In that sense it really isn't free.
Still, as said elsewhere, most of the current modern operating systems (Linux, Mac OS-X, Windows XP/Vista/7) have archival viewing functions built into the operating system so you don't even need those to view a jar file, add or remove files from them. In fact, in spite of installing 7zip myself, I "uninstalled" the software and have just been using the Operating System functions because I found those easier than the 7zip methods of file manipulation.
Can anyone really believe how negative and childish this thread is becoming? When I said that I didn't think the community could cope when Kinniken was gone I did not expect people to suddenly lose basic rules of politeness. If you ask for help, be prepared to reciev some! If we can tear ourselves away from all the spam and wasted space that is corrupting the thread, this is a time for the cumunnity to band together, not splinter and convince Kinniken that we're good for nothing.
So I'm going to ask that If you can't read, and If you can't take advice you should just stay quiet. Lets get something done now.
I unfortunatly thought I was in the same boat as many many others in that I didnt backup my 1.6.6 before updating to 1.7.. I am fortunatly, on occasion, running minecraft, albeit extreamly laggy, here at work and realized this morn that its not updated, copy, paste to flash drive, and hopfully switch out my 1.7 thats at home so my villages come back to life once again..
Lesson for the last boring villager free week or so, backup minecraft before updating...
p.s BEST MOD IVE FOUND THUS FAR, if I knew how to give diamonds I would, many, many diamonds...

MY CREATIONS - Flat worlds, with caves, that assist in eliminating LAG caused by the Millenaire mod.
joeyjam, ffs read the OP! The mod creator is on holiday!
This post pisses me off because of how much joeyjam helps in this thread and how many times he has made the effort to educate people on this point. protip: If you are not familiar with what is going on in a thread, don't come in and try to play thread cop, it makes you look dumb. Sorry, it's true.
Props joeyjam, and thanks for all your contributions to this thread.
Also thanks to NeilZar, Rytho, King Korihor and any others I didn't notice or forgot.
And of course, just because it has been a while, thanks Kinniken for your great mod.
Even more importantly, is it pronounced with the latin-style r (den-ear), or the french (den-E-aye)? This question has been plaguing me since I downloaded the mod... :-/
In a completely unrelated point: I would probably pee myself giggling like a little schoolgirl if Kinniken logged in and made a "nice mod, please update to 1.7.2" post.
Perhaps it is just me, but in the pictures that Notch put out for 1.8, the villages look VERY similar to Millenaire.
Is it possible that the mod dev and Notch have worked something out and that it isn't "just a village mod", but actually Millenaire that is getting implemented into the 1.8 patch?
This isn't something new, lately it seems like every addition to Minecraft has been very good and strong mods being introduced to the core game code.
So, instead of worrying if Millenaire will still work after 1.8, why not think and hope that the 1.8 villages ARE Millenaire?
P.S.
This is my first post here on the Minecraft forums, but I am a long time watcher. I find it disturbing how many people have been yelling about the mod not getting updated without reading the initial post in the thread. I suppose this shows how truly immature and impatient people are, and I have lost some respect for these people in the Minecraft community (add to this the issues on the Yogcast forums in trying to add the "Better than Wolves" mod to the Yogbox and the reaction to the developer from the people who play this game).
In short, there are many people who have not made a fool of themselves here, and have been upstanding in the community and defended the dev. However, the people who seem to do nothing more than grief and try to cause problems for other people, or are too lazy to even attempt to read the main post, do nothing but soil the name of the video game community and cause people new to gaming to walk away and not want to be involved.
P.P.S.
I hope the developer of this wonderful mod has a great vacation, and will be able to easily fix this mod for us when he returns.
